概要
 In which the Devil, having long employed a diverse company of witches, magicians, astrologers, and other such practitioners as his tools, finds it more convenient in later times to work through the wits and fools of society, whilst never wholly dismissing his ancient instruments of deception. An account is given of the origins and transformations of these infernal agents, their dreadful powers and practices, and the curious customs by which their existence and influence have been both feared and contended with among mankind.
