What are you putting in your body? Paul says, “Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales.” The myths of our world are endless but they’re all just what Paul says: godless. They may look attractive, or act like they contain the best life hack even when it comes to spirituality. But all they offer is an easier, more flattering “truth” than the one that actually gives peace and actually saves you for eternity. But Paul calls us to “train ourselves for godliness. This is not found in old wives’ tales or myths, but in the Scriptures where we see the living God on whom we place our hope. He is the Savior of all. He nourishes our soul with the promise of life and gives life to the full. He nourishes us with the truth, and that truth sets us free.
