The Sun moves through Human Design Gate 46, the Gate of Determination of the Self, whose Gene Key travels from Seriousness to Delight to Ecstasy, while the Autumn Equinox brings us into Libra season & an upcoming Full Moon in Aries activates the axis of independence, relationship & interdependence. This episode looks at hyper-independence through the lens of mysticism, going beyond the usual advice to “just ask for help” to explore how competence can become identity, why receiving requires discernment, the connection between hyper-independence & codependency, & what happens when self-trust quietly becomes believing you’re the only person you can trust. We’ll also get practical with Human Design, astrology & shamanic work as tools for recognizing where you over-manage, uncovering the old agreements underneath the pattern & experimenting with a different relationship to uncertainty. What if it doesn't have to be this hard? September picks up in the aftermath of eclipse season, when some things may have shifted but we're still figuring out what any of it actually means. We open the month with Mars square Saturn, move through a Virgo New Moon, Venus entering Scorpio, Uranus stationing retrograde, the Fall Equinox, and an Aries Full Moon, all while Venus begins setting the stage for her October retrograde. The Human Design transits tell an equally interesting story, moving from Gate 40's Exhaustion through Confusion, Realization and Friction before eventually arriving at Delight and Integrity. I've also been revisiting Women Who Run With the Wolves, particularly the psychological traps in The Red Shoes, which has me thinking about how easily effort can turn into struggle and struggle into suffering without us realizing we're participating in the pattern. This episode explores the difference between doing something genuinely hard and making it harder than it needs to be, why we sometimes keep pushing long after reality has started giving us an answer, and what September might teach us about where our effort is actually useful and where we're just wearing ourselves out fighting with what is.

What if exhaustion isn't telling you to rest, but telling you the agreement itself isn't working anymore? The partial Lunar Eclipse at 4° Pisces closes out eclipse season with the Moon conjunct Fomalhaut, square Uranus in Gemini, & opposing Mercury in Virgo just hours after a Mercury cazimi. The Sun moves through Human Design Gate 40, the Gate of Aloneness, whose Gene Key travels from Exhaustion to Resolve to Divine Will, while the Moon moves through Gate 22, the Gate of Openness, moving from Dishonor to Graciousness to Grace. Together they raise some uncomfortable questions about where we're continuing to give, participate, or remain available simply because that's the role we've always played. Fomalhaut adds another layer around the original vision versus the structure we've built around it, while Uranus may introduce the information that makes an old explanation harder to keep believing. What happens when the noise in your head gets so loud you can't tell what's actually happening anymore? We're in the strange middle of eclipse season, after the Leo Solar Eclipse but before the Pisces Lunar Eclipse, right in the soft, vulnerable part of the molt I've been talking about all month. Mars is now in Cancer and squaring Neptune, adding some fog to a week when we may already be trying to figure out what something means or where it's going. The Sun moves through Human Design Gate 29, the Gate of Perseverance, whose Gene Key travels from Half-Heartedness to Commitment to Devotion, raising questions about what we're actually giving our energy to, including the stories we create when we don't have all the information. As someone with an open Head and Ajna and Gate 29 as my Pearl, I know how quickly an unanswered question can become an entire investigation.
