Welcome to this weeks’ episode of The Australian Small Business Show!
Today we’re discussing the recent federalelection results and what it means for small business.
Specifically, we dive into:
· Energy rebates which come into effect 1 July 2025;
· A new solar battery subsidy scheme;
· The short term extension of the $20,000 instant asset write off
· Significant changes to superannuation legislation which will see tax required to be paid on unrealised gains within your super fund, and different tax rates for funds with over $3 million in assets
· Additional funding being allocate to the ATO to assist with tax compliance scrutiny;
· Likely changes to the Fair Work Act including banning non compete clauses in employment contracts amongst other things;
· And what else might be in the pipeline with a majority Government in place.
