For decades, Anita Kelly Couch taught the Bible at women’s events across the country, yet beneath a strong outward faith, unhealed wounds and deeply rooted lies left her feeling unable to truly experience God’s love. In the midst of her brokenness, God gently led her on a journey of healing. Hosted by Anita and Grace Wood, the Ever After Podcast explores the hidden obstacles to intimacy with God by blending biblical truth, neuroscience, honest conversations, and reflection. What if the greatest obstacle to experiencing God’s love isn’t what you know–but what your heart has learned to believe?Anita Kelly Couch キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義

  • Episode 8: Your Story Isn't Over
    2026/09/10

What if you knew you don't have to pass down to your children the pain that was passed down to you?

In the concluding episode of the Ever After Podcast, we celebrate the fact that none of our stories are over, because Jesus is still writing them, still redeeming them, still transforming them into something beautiful in ways we cannot see.

Anita shares some of the benefits she is presently experiencing because of the healing God has done in her heart. She highlights the choice God has given all of us to step into our healing journeys. He will never impose His will on us but continues to gently invite us to join Him in this venture.

This series concludes with a look at how trauma is passed down to the next generation if left unprocessed and how that sobering reality could be our biggest motivator yet to pursue our own spiritual and emotional healing.

  • Episode 7: Living in Greater Freedom
    2026/08/27

What if you could experience Jesus being with you in a tangible way? That is God's heart for you!

In this episode of the Ever After Podcast, we explore how God begins to transform us from the inside out as He offers us opportunities to experience the truth just as deeply and vividly as we did the lies of the past. We delve into the neuroscience of integration and what they may look like in our lives practically.

We correlate how God heals our hearts today with a biblical example of Peter’s restoration after his awful betrayal of Jesus. We also recognize the beautiful gift of imagination in a deeper experience with Christ.

This episode concludes with an opportunity to integrate a concept with an experience through an imaginative prayer exercise, an ancient prayer practice that traces back to Saint Ignatius. This episode highlights many of the God-given ways He has provided for us to experience deeper communion with Him.

    Episode Summary

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • how God will give us a new, corrective experience of His presence and truth to transform our past memories of pain
    • how we can encounter God through "the eyes of our heart"
    • how the imagination can be a valuable tool in encountering God when submitted to God
