  • Ford CEO, Jim Farley | Racer, Maria Costello | & BTCC's Charles Rainford, Tom Ingram & Jake Hill from the 82nd Goodwood Members Meeting
    2025/05/30

Enjoy a bonus episode of The Driven Podcast recorded at the 82nd Goodwood Members Meeting in April 2025. In this episode, John Marcar and Charlotte Vowden speak to a handful of voices, including:

Jim Farley, the CEO of the Ford Motor Company. (times - 09:08 > 49:58)

Jim and Charlotte discuss finding a balance between work and pleasure, particularly in running one of the world's largest automotive companies and taking time to enjoy driving a Ford GT40 alongside Alex Brundle.

Charles Rainford, the BTCC Newbie (times - 50:01 > 55:53)

John Marcar catches up with Charles Rainford ahead of his final test sessions for the 2025 British Touring Car season as he debuts for West Surrey Racing. At the event, Charles was driving with DTO Motorsport, offering hot laps to guests but hints toward some exciting driving at Goodwood later this year.

    Tom Ingram, 2023 BTCC Champion (times - 55:54 > 59:40)

Tom Ingram is a good friend of the podcast, having featured on his own full episode of our previous podcast, 'The Driven Chat Podcast'. Tom, in his usual fun-spirited fashion, tells John what he's driving and shares (maybe a little too much) about his need for the toilet.

    Jake Hill, 2024 BTCC Champion (times 59:40 > 1:04:10)

Jake is a firm favourite and friend of the podcast. He's also a firm favourite at all Goodwood events, especially in the iconic GITANES Ford Capri, which he's driving for the 5th time at the Goodwood Members Meeting. Jake and John catch up in the assembly area ahead of a race whilst drooling over a glorious Cadillac Le Mans Hypercar.

Maria Costello MBE, Motorcycle Racer (times - 1:05:20 > 1:25:25)

To offer a two-wheeled perspective from the Goodwood members meeting, John and Charlotte both sit down with Maria Costello amid a weekend of motorcycle racing. Maria also discusses her preparations for the 2025 Isle of Man TT race.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a live environment recording with audible background noises and voices present during many of the conversations. Whilst we do all we can to adjust the audio levels and manage, please consider that some audio may be compromised to ensure the conversation is heard.

Recorded on the 12th and 13th of April 2025

It's the season finale! This week, for the last time until the Summer months, John Marcar, Amy Heynes, Miles Lacey, Charlotte Vowden, and Alex Goy bring you a round table podcast episode to end yet another busy season of The Driven Podcast.

In this week's chat, Amy shares stories of photographing MGs and hanging out with musicians, Charlotte has been driving a new car up and down the country, Alex has unveiled a new Morgan, Miles has been on a track day in a 911 Racing Car, and John is now a Ferrari racing driver.

PLUS - we address your listener's letters, questions and talking topics with some frankly alarming tangents.

  • Behind the scenes at Goodwood Motor Circuit: meet the people that make the magic happen!
    2025/03/14

Steeped in nostalgia, Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex started life as an RAF base before its first race in 1948. It's one of the fastest, most challenging tracks in the UK. Home to the world-famous Revival, Members' Meeting and Festival of Speed, its reputation for putting on automotive spectacles is unmatched.

On this week's episode, Charlotte Vowden and Amy Heynes, go behind the scenes with four members of the Goodwood Motor Circuit Content Team, who are responsible for organising the events, to find out what it takes to make the magic happen.

Each of them is living their best life in dream jobs; this episode is divided into two parts. First, you'll hear from Megan Godfrey, Event Content Manager, and Matt Hearn, Head of Event Content, then buckle up for a few laughs with Daisy Callanan, Senior Motorsport Content Planner, and Craig Venn, Event Content Manager.

From VIP requests to bringing the Duke of Richmond's ambitious visions to life, this episode gives you the inside scoop, with a few surprises!
