  • Overcompensating with Tech? Here’s how not to.
    2021/07/15

We all have expectations of what technology should do for us but if you're like me, you've been disappointed when it didn't do "everything" I thought it should do. I've had times when I have put too much stock in the ability of tech to solve my problems and I forgot that my use of technology should be balanced with the use of non-tech solutions.

Technology solves problems but when it starts creating them, then you need to dial it down. Use it to enhance your skills and not as a replacement of those skills. I have a bit to say about this in this episode so have a listen.

  • Tools don’t matter. Only your “why” does.
    2021/07/15

Have you ever found yourself becoming tool-dependent? I have and it works out for a while and then it comes back to bite you in the butt! Tools are awesome when the make your life and work better but that's only when they work as advertised. If your tool breaks, what does that mean for your efficiency? Have your tools become a crutch? Once we lose sight of our place in the creative process and convert our tools into a talisman, things only go downhill from that point.

You are the secret sauce in your world. In this episode, I'd like to share my thoughts on this and help you to keep your focus on the right thing - You! You are the thing that makes the tool "sing".

    2021/05/17

We each have the opportunity to change the world with our ideas The problem is choosing which idea we should put all our efforts to because not all ideas are equal. Our ability to extract financial value from an idea to the point that it is able to fund our other ideas is an art that World-Class entrepreneurs have perfected to a large degree. In this episode we explore how to process the decision of choosing which idea wins your focus.

Let's look at how to assess finite resources and determine which of our ideas possess the potential to generate revenue quickly and what to do to ensure that you aren't being driven by mere excitement. In the world of business, the ability of a venture to generate enough revenue to pay the bills is what determines its longevity. It takes a lot of growing up to make the right decisions in this area of picking the idea that gets the lion-share of your resources.

  • Do Your Ideas Matter?
    2021/04/23

How many times have you planned to publish a book or start a podcast or blog and decided that your ideas didn't matter? If you're like me, you must have lost count. That little voice in your ear that tells you that your ideas aren't valid has been stopping you from putting your voice out there. It's time to muzzle that joker and kick it out of your ear. This episode helps you do this.

For years I succumbed to that way of thinking many times. I would feel like putting together some content about one thing or the other and because I knew that I could easily find these on Google, I discredited the importance of my potential content. In fact, many of the things that we teach can be Googled. However, I found out many years ago that even though people can Google these things, many people still struggle in the area of figuring out how to find the information they need. Someone needs you to make the information easy to access and digest.

Many times we go through FOMO (fear of missing out) on the latest trends or the latest topics that are being discussed. So when we see other content creators or trainers talking about one topic or another that you really aren't very skilled at communicating but is trending, we begin to feel like we have to jump on it. • How To Grow Your Audience
    2021/04/13

Many times the content people, um, Pursue you for is a reflection of their current needs. I like to call this the mirror. Okay. The content that you're sharing with them is a reflection of either a current circumstance or their personality or a dream or an aspiration that they want for themselves. So. Um, the first thing is that you need to, um, use your content as a mirror.

What kind of reflection do you want to push back at your clients? What kind of, um, audience. Would you like to grow? Would you want the aspirational audience that wants something more out of life? Do you want a client that wants some realism? Show me what I can see right now and how I can improve it. Um, do you want a client, you know, that, that, um, that needs to be.

Uh, and courage, if they are in a low point in their life or in their career, many times you find that people gravitate towards content. That is a reflection of their current situation. So you need to design your content to be postured. To, uh, to, uh, feed or to take care of this particular, uh, identified demographic or audience.
