One of the most common tactics of institutional apologists is to weaponize James against the teaching of justification by faith alone, in so doing also reinterpreting Paul’s clear statements into a highly narrow view of addressing only Judaism when he says “works.” This double sleight of hand is required to justify the false gospel of the sacramental system, but when put under careful scrutiny with scripture we see these arguments have nothing to stand on because Paul and James are not contradictory, but complementary.
