    Today’s entire major league board comes down to one matchup: Tampa Bay at Cleveland. The listed pitching matchup is Nick Martinez versus Shawn Armstrong, and as we come on the air, the game is still scheduled. There are no games in progress and no finals on today’s board, so this is the one place where all the attention lands. I like days like this because there is nowhere for the matchup to hide. Every bullpen decision, every defensive mistake, and every late plate appearance gets magnified when the rest of the scoreboard is silent. The Rays have to deal with Cleveland on the road, while the Guardians have the home setting. Beyond that, I’m not going to manufacture drama before the first pitch.
