  • The Healing Power of Singing: Finding Your Voice Again with Carole Marie Downing
    2026/10/14

What if the key to unlocking your creativity, confidence, and healing was simply finding your voice?

In this episode of The Creativation Show, host Dr. Andre Walton welcomes Carole Marie Downing, community choir leader and founder of Tune to Joy, to explore the transformative power of singing.

Drawing from her personal journey through grief and rediscovery, Carole Marie shares how music helped her heal, reconnect with herself, and inspire others to embrace their creativity.

Together, they explore how group singing builds connection, why improvisation teaches us to let go of perfection, and how even a few minutes of creative expression can open the door to greater confidence, joy, and personal growth.

Because creativity isn't about being perfect. It's about giving yourself permission to begin.

  • Divergent vs. Convergent Thinking
    2026/10/07

What if the answer to a difficult problem isn't to think harder, but to think differently?

In this episode of The Creativation Show, Dr. André Walton explores the difference between divergent and convergent thinking and why we need both to make better decisions, solve problems, and unlock new possibilities.

Divergent thinking expands your view, helping you explore possibilities, challenge assumptions, and discover connections you may have missed. Convergent thinking then helps you evaluate those ideas, eliminate what doesn't work, and turn possibilities into practical decisions.

Dr. Walton also explains how stress, data, algorithms, spreadsheets, and even AI can pull us into overly analytical thinking, leaving us stuck on what he calls the “hamster wheel of thinking.”

The key isn't choosing creativity over logic. It's learning when to expand your thinking and when to narrow it down. Because sometimes the breakthrough isn't finding a better answer. It's discovering a better question.

  • The Creativity You Forgot You Had With Anne A Seider
    2026/09/30

What if creativity isn’t something reserved for artists, actors, musicians, or writers? What if it’s something everyone of us already has?

In this episode of The Creativation Show, Dr. Andre Walton sits down with Anne Alexander-Seeder, actor, screenwriter, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for creativity, to explore how creative thinking influences the way we work, solve problems, adapt to change, and experience life.

Anne explains that we were all creative as children. That creativity didn’t disappear. For many of us, it was simply pushed down by everyday life, expectations, routines, and the pressure to follow a conventional path.

Andre and Anne explore why creative people often pursue multiple interests, why changing direction doesn’t necessarily mean you’re distracted, and how experiences that appear unrelated can eventually become valuable pieces of a much bigger picture. Anne shares her philosophy of moving through life with a “flashlight,” following what comes into view while remaining open to changing direction.

They also discuss entrepreneurship, acting, empathy, authenticity, curiosity, goals, and the courage to explore new possibilities rather than believing there is only one correct path through life.

Ultimately, creativity is not simply about making art. It is about how you interpret the world, connect with other people, discover possibilities, and bring your own perspective to whatever you choose to create.
