• How to Come Back to Yourself: Stop Fixing Yourself and Start Becoming
    2026/08/28

Fall often comes with an invitation to reset everything: new routines, new goals, better habits, get organized, finish the year strong.

But what if you don’t need another self-improvement project?

What if you’ve simply gotten disconnected from yourself?

In this episode, I’m reflecting on that question after wrapping up 14 weeks of my Come Home to Your Heart Masterclass. As I looked at the women who said yes, showed up, trusted me, and allowed themselves to grow, I could see their becoming. They are not the same women they were 14 weeks ago.

    And neither am I.

That experience reminded me that personal growth isn’t always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, reconnecting with the parts of you that have gotten lost beneath responsibility, expectations, overthinking, and caring for everyone else—and becoming more fully yourself.

In this episode, we’ll talk about:

    • Why feeling disconnected from yourself can look like needing to “fix” yourself
    • The difference between self-improvement and coming home to yourself
    • How you can be highly functional and still feel disconnected inside
    • Why becoming may sometimes look more like returning
    • Four simple questions to help you reconnect with yourself this season

Before you decide everything that needs to change about you this fall, consider a different possibility:

What would it look like to let this season be about becoming more fully yourself?

  • When Your Adult Child Pulls Away: How to Love Them Without Losing Yourself
    2026/08/22

When your adult child begins to feel distant, the hurt can reach a very tender place in a mother’s heart.

Maybe they don’t come visit very often. A text goes unanswered. Their tone feels different. You find out about something you weren’t included in. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened—you can simply feel that the relationship has changed.

In this unedited episode, Marci talks about the emotional pain many mothers experience when connection with an adult child feels uncertain and why that pain can activate protective patterns like overthinking, trying harder, withdrawing, or walking on eggshells.

Through the lens of the Inner Relationship Method™, you’ll learn how to recognize the hurting part underneath the fear, understand what your protective parts may be trying to prevent, and invite your Resourced Self to lead instead.

    You’ll explore:

    • Why emotional distance from an adult child can hurt so deeply
    • What may be underneath walking on eggshells with your adult child
    • How fear of losing connection can quietly begin running the relationship
    • The difference between your hurting parts, protective parts, and Resourced Self
    • How to love your adult child without abandoning yourself
    • A simple practice for asking, “How do I want to show up here?”
    • What it can mean to lead as the matriarch in this season of motherhood

You cannot control whether your adult child calls, includes you, responds warmly, or relates to you in the way you wish they would.

But you can learn how to care for the parts of you that hurt, bring your emotional power back home, and choose who you want to be in the relationship.

You can love your child deeply without leaving yourself behind.

This episode is also available to watch in video on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.

  • When You Don't Feel Like Yourself: Honoring the Seasons When Your Voice Goes Quiet
    2026/08/14

In this raw, unedited episode, Marci is talking honestly about what happened when my voice went quiet.

For two weeks, she didn’t release a podcast episode. Not because she had nothing to say, but because what she had to say wasn't available to her.

Marci was carrying some heavy sadness. She had used a lot of creative energy on other projects. And honestly, she was discouraged. Marci had released a previous episode she believed was one of her strongest, shared clips from it on social media, and was met with very little response.

In the past, Marci might have pushed through, forced herself to produce something, and called that discipline.

But she's been practicing how to listen.

In this episode, Marci talks about the difference between avoidance and honoring yourself, between lovingly stretching yourself and overriding what your nervous system and inner world may actually need.

Marci also explores what happens when you stop making a temporary lack of energy, motivation, creativity, or capacity mean something about who you are.

You’ll hear encouragement to ask yourself:

    • Am I avoiding something that needs courage, or is something inside me genuinely asking to be heard?
    • What am I making this season mean about me?
    • What would it look like to stay in relationship with myself instead of judging or forcing myself?
    • Can I let discouragement be present without abandoning myself because of it?

Sometimes your voice doesn’t come back because you finally found the perfect thing to say.

Sometimes it comes back when you give yourself permission to tell the truth about why it went quiet.

If you’ve been feeling discouraged, disconnected, creatively drained, emotionally tired, or like you should be doing more than you currently have capacity for, this episode is for you.

  • Who Are You, Really? How to Stop Letting Roles, Labels, and Circumstances Define You
    2026/07/31

Who are you beneath the roles you perform, the circumstances you have experienced, and the labels other people have given you?

As women, it is easy to describe ourselves by what we do or what has happened to us: mother, wife, caregiver, divorced, single, shy, anxious, responsible, or the one who holds everything together. But those roles and labels are not really who you are.

In this episode of The Courageous and Confident Christian Mom, Marci explores the powerful difference between your roles and your identity.

Your roles exist outside of you. They describe positions you hold, responsibilities you carry, and seasons you have lived through. Your identity lives inside of you—in your heart, values, character, faith, compassion, courage, resilience, and eternal worth.

Marci also shares a beautiful moment from her Come Home to Your Heart masterclass. After exploring a list of personal characteristics, one woman recognized how deeply she had identified with the labels “shy,” “divorced,” and “single mom.” Through years of healing and coaching, she came to understand that those labels described parts of her experience, but they did not define who she was.

In this episode, you will learn:

    • The difference between a role, circumstance, label, and identity
    • How labels can quietly shape your self-concept and self-worth
    • Why something that was once true about you does not have to remain your identity
    • How to recognize the qualities that reflect who you truly are
    • Why reconnecting with your identity is an important part of self-love and emotional healing

You are not merely what you have done, what you have survived, or what someone else decided to call you.

    You are so much more.

This episode will help you look beneath the roles and begin coming home to the woman who has been there all along.

  • Why You Feel Guilty Resting: The Part That Will Not Let You Slow Down
    2026/07/17

Do you ever finally have time to rest, but instead of relaxing, you feel guilty, restless, or like you should be doing something productive?

In this episode, Marci Owen explores why rest can feel so hard for women who are used to carrying responsibility, managing everyone’s needs, staying productive, and pushing through exhaustion.

Using a personal story from her retreat, Marci shares how even in a quiet, beautiful space, a part of her wanted to maximize every minute, make the retreat meaningful, and turn rest into another thing to accomplish.

This episode will help you understand the protective part of you that believes slowing down is unsafe, selfish, lazy, or irresponsible. Instead of judging yourself for not being able to relax, you will learn how to get curious about what is happening inside you and begin creating a safer relationship with rest.

If you struggle with rest guilt, burnout, overdoing, people-pleasing, productivity pressure, or feeling like you always have to earn your right to slow down, this conversation will help you feel seen and supported.

    You will learn:

    • Why rest can feel unsafe to your nervous system
    • How productivity can become a protective pattern
    • Why slowing down may bring up guilt, fear, or discomfort
    • How to talk compassionately to the part of you that cannot rest
    • What it means to receive instead of constantly produce

You are not bad at resting. A part of you may simply need to learn that rest is safe now.

  • Nothing Is Blooming Yet: Trusting Your Growth When You Feel Stuck
    2026/07/10

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered if anything is actually changing?

You have been doing the inner work. You have been praying, trying, learning, healing, showing up, and working on yourself. But maybe your relationship is still hard, anxiety still shows up, your circumstances have not changed, or the thing you are hoping for has not happened yet.

It can be easy to decide that nothing is working.

But what if something important is growing beneath the surface?

In this episode, Marci Owen shares her insights about a wildflower corner, an agave plant, and the reminder that not all growth is visible right away. Some seasons are not about blooming. Some seasons are about building roots.

Marci talks about why women often measure their growth only by visible outcomes and how that can keep them stuck in self-criticism, comparison, impatience, and discouragement. She offers a new way to recognize the quiet signs of healing that may already be happening inside you.

You may not have the flower yet.

But that does not mean you are not growing.

In this episode, you will learn:

    • Why visible results are not the only evidence of personal growth
    • How nervous system healing and inner work often happen quietly
    • What “root work” looks like in real life
    • Why impatience and self-criticism can interrupt your healing process
    • How to recognize the small signs that you are becoming more steady, self-trusting, and emotionally resilient

If you are in a slow season, a healing season, or a season where nothing seems to be blooming yet, this episode will help you honor the growth that is taking place beneath the surface.

    Your quiet growth still counts.

    2026/07/03

    July 3

Drawing from recent family time, a Yellowstone trip, summer memories, and the small moments that often matter most, Marci explores why so many women struggle to stay present in their own lives. • How to Stop Carrying Everyone’s Emotions: Over-Responsibility, Overgiving, and Motherhood Burnout
    2026/06/26

Do you feel like everyone in your family hands you their invisible basket—and somehow you end up carrying the schedules, the moods, the forgotten details, the conflict, the dinner plans, and everyone else’s disappointment?

In this episode, Marci Owen talks about the protective pattern of over-responsibility: the part of you that feels like it is your job to keep everyone happy, prevent conflict, remember everything, manage the mood in the room, and make life work for everyone else.

You will learn how to recognize when love has quietly turned into over-functioning, why capable and caring women can become exhausted and resentful, and how fear of disappointment, disconnection, conflict, or losing love can keep you carrying what was never yours to hold.

Marci shares a simple “basket check” to help you identify what belongs to you, what belongs to someone else, and what you may be ready to put down. This episode will help you support the people you love without disappearing under the weight of their emotions, choices, responsibilities, and reactions.

You are allowed to care without carrying it all. You are allowed to love without over-functioning. And you are allowed to let other people have their own agency while you come home to yourself.
