  • Finding Your Life’s Balance with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
    2026/03/11
We all have a personality—but do you truly know how yours is driving your decisions, your stress, and your relationships?
In this episode of The Change Mastery Show, John J Murphy dives deep into the world’s most researched personality tool: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Drawing on nearly 40 years of experience teaching this framework, John moves beyond the "labels" to show you how to use the MBTI as a practical discipline for mindfulness and balance.
    You’ll discover:
    • The "Eight Disciplines": Why your personality is like being right- or left-handed, and how to develop your "non-dominant" side for greater effectiveness.
    • Organizational DNA: How to identify if your team is a "Let's change it" or "Let's keep it" culture—and how to lead through the resulting conflict.
    • The Rational Problem-Solving Secret: How to use Sensing, Intuition, Thinking, and Feeling to make bulletproof decisions.
    • Temperament Insights: Are you an SJ (Dutiful) or an NT (Power-seeker)? Understanding your core drive is the first step to inner peace.
Stop letting your mind control you. Start "minding your mind" and master the art of interpersonal connection.

  • Aging Gracefully: Critical Inputs for Desirable Outputs
    2026/02/11
Nothing speaks more to a changing world than our own mind and body. We are designed for change; we change every second of every day—naturally. If we choose to resist change, we fight nature and interfere with the innate flow of life. This is why John avoids the term “anti-aging.” When we fight aging, we age faster, grow tired, and give power to the very things we do not want.
In this episode, John offers tips on how to relax into the "flow" of life to improve your quality of life—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Now in his mid-60s, John shares how scientific measures recently placed his “internal age” at just 33 years.

  • Troubling Relationship? Make a Change!
    2026/01/14
Healthy, positive relationships are essential for a healthy, positive life. This universal principle applies to all relationships, including work, family, friends, the planet, and our own bodies. We need healthy connections. So, stop and ask yourself: How do I feel when I think about my relationship with these things? Is there anything troubling me? Do I feel drained when I am around some people or doing certain things? Should I be working harder and making sacrifices to get along?
Now, ask yourself: Do I like all music? All books? All food? All animals? Chances are, you don’t. The reason for this is that everything has an energetic frequency – people, animals, books, songs, food, everything. So, if you do not feel good with certain people or in specific situations or places, it is because your frequency does not resonate well with those frequencies. This is like trying to like a specific song or genre when you simply don’t! It doesn’t matter how hard you work at it or how much you sacrifice to “get along.” The fact is you are not a good match. This leaves you with a choice. Either accept the disharmony and live with conflict or make a change and find a better match. Keep in mind, this does not mean there is anything wrong with the other person, place, or thing. It simply means that oil and water don’t mix well.

  • Assumptions: The Root Cause to Great Suffering.
    2025/12/10
Socrates once said, “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” So, ask yourself. Do I really know anything with absolute certainty? Chances are, if you’re honest, you will discover that there is very little, if anything, that you know with absolute certainty. As a result, we go through life making assumptions, forming hypotheses, and experimenting. We construct entire belief systems out of assumptions, and then we play by the rules to fit in. These mental constructs and rules are often called paradigms. We then attempt to solve problems inside paradigms or boxes when it is often the hidden boxes that are the problem. We go to war over underlying assumptions and ignorance. We struggle with health issues, career tracks, and financial well-being due to flawed paradigms. We make poor choices in all aspects of life because of limiting beliefs. Put simply, we get in our own way.
In this episode, John will offer tips on how to uncover assumptions and challenge them with wisdom and discernment. He will also share strategies on how to use assumptions to our advantage. A shift at this level can change everything. You do not want to miss this episode!

  • Stop Wanting and Start Receiving
    2025/11/12
It is one of the most common mindsets among humankind. We want things. We pray for things. We set goals and make to-do lists. We exercise our divine gifts of vision and intuition to picture ideals in the future that we think will make us happy. Seems like a blessing, right? How could this be something we should be more mindful about? What is wrong with desire? Isn’t this what we need for positive manifestations?
In this episode, John provides insights into the hidden traps of desire, and he reveals latent barriers to wishful manifestations. In other words, why is it that so many people wish for positive outcomes but fail to get them? What is getting in the way? And what can we do about it? If this has been your experience, you need to hear and share this episode of The Change Mastery Show. When we uncover the reasons why we are struggling and we shift our mindset to a different vibrational frequency, everything in life changes. We begin to reap harvests beyond belief.

  • Two Sides to the Same Coin
    2025/09/10
There are always two ways to look at things. One is positive. The other is negative. One sees problems. The other sees solutions. One worries about chaos and uncertainty. The other gets excited about opportunities and possibilities. Here’s the catch. There is one coin with two sides. We can’t have one without the other. We can’t know up without down. We can’t know light without dark. Contrast gives meaning to content. This is the perfect yin-yang balance and harmony of the universe. Do you see this? And now, what do you see when you look at the world?
