  • Why Did God Curse Creation | Episode #17
    2026/10/16

Why did God curse creation? Was the curse in Genesis 3 an angry punishment for one mistake, or is there more happening in the story?

In Episode 17, we explore how Adam and Eve’s rebellion affects the blessings God gave humanity in the beginning. Fruitfulness becomes filled with grief. Relationships become struggles for control. Work meets resistance. And the humans formed from dust eventually return to it.

But God’s judgment is not the end of the story.

Tracing the biblical story from Genesis 3 through Jesus’ resurrection, Romans 8, and Revelation 22, we explore how God responds to human rebellion and how His rescue reaches the creation He made.

In this episode: • What blessing and curse mean in the Bible • Why Genesis 3:16 describes more than the pain of childbirth • How rebellion fractures marriage and humanity’s relationship with the ground • Why God blocks access to the Tree of Life • How Jesus’ ministry and resurrection reveal the coming restoration • What it means to live in Christian hope while creation still groans

The Bible does not ask us to pretend the world hurts less than it does. It gives us reason to believe that the curse will not last forever.

For now, we groan. But because Jesus has risen, we groan in hope.

    Key Scriptures: Genesis 1–3; Galatians 3:13–14; Romans 8:18–25; Revelation 21:1–5; Revelation 22:1–3.

  • Walking With God | Episode #16
    2026/10/13

What does it actually mean to walk with God?

We use that phrase so often that it can become a Christian cliché. But behind it is one of the Bible’s most beautiful pictures of what we were created for: sharing life with God.

In Episode 16 of Bite-Sized Bible, Brian Nelson traces this image from the garden of Eden to the road to Emmaus. From Enoch and Noah to Abraham, Israel, and the disciples of Jesus, we discover that even outside the garden, the invitation to walk with God remains.

What does that look like when we’ve failed, when we’re struggling to trust, or when we have no idea where the road is leading? And how does walking with God shape our ordinary, everyday lives?

You were not made to hide from God. You were meant to walk with Him.

  • Why Do We Hide | Episode #15
    2026/10/09

Why did Adam and Eve hide from God? And why do we still do the same? Genesis 3 tells a story of sin, shame, and the fear of being fully known that feels painfully familiar.

In Episode 15 of Bite-Sized Bible, Brian Nelson explores how shame leads us to hide behind accomplishments, busyness, control, and even religion. From fig leaves in the Garden of Eden to the tabernacle, the Day of Atonement, and the cross of Jesus, we trace how God makes a way for hiding people to come near.

What does it mean to be “clothed with Christ”? How does Jesus address our guilt and shame? And how can we approach God with confidence when He sees everything we try to conceal?

Listen to “Why Do We Hide?” as we explore the hope of being fully known by God and still welcomed into His presence.

    Key Scriptures: Genesis 2:25; Genesis 3:7–21; Exodus 28:42–43; Leviticus 16; Isaiah 61:10; Hebrews 4:13–16; Galatians 3:27.
