In this latest episode, host Dr Andy Chandler-Grevatt and the pod team kick off by looking back on the first half term of what has been for many a challenging return to the classroom (... or has it?). Next up (at 17.20) Ben (of Physics Partners) and Trevor (from the IOP) tackle some of fears that many trainees and teachers have around teaching physics if it's not their particular field - while Luke shares a hard-won lesson about the importance of grounding a van Der Graaf generator. Finally (at 39.15) the team tackle a number of bad-behaviour scernarios thrown at them by Andy C-G... featuring gas taps, hair bands and some, er, industrial language on the part of a naughty pupil named Alistair (though, thankfully, not in the podcast!).

  • You can find more the first "Physics For Non Specialists" sessions that Ben is co running here: https://www.ase.org.uk/events/physics-non-specialists-online-electricity
  • As Trevor mentioned, the IOP's website is a fantastic resource for guidance around a huge range of physics subject matter - head this way for the "Domains" section: https://spark.iop.org/iop-domains-physics-cpd-programme
  • As Andy mentioned, you can still book a place for the FREE practical secience webinars we at the ASE are running here: https://www.ase.org.uk/news/ase-host-new-series-of-practical-science-support-webinars
