  • Google Discovers AI Experiment Gone Wrong
    2026/10/30

Google Discover was helping people discover news, but apparently forgot to let them READ it!

In Episode #73 of The AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson of 7Trillion SEO looks at a Google Discover AI experiment that went wrong when users couldn't click through to the original sources.

Google confirmed the problem was a bug and shut down the experiment by October 27, 2026.

But there's a bigger lesson here for business owners.

Ralph shares a story about an executive jet charter company that spent tens of thousands of dollars on beautiful billboard advertising but forgot one important detail: a readable phone number!

Your website could be making the same mistake.

You can invest thousands in SEO, AI Search Optimization, videos, and content marketing. But what good is all that visibility if your links are broken, your contact information is incorrect, or your contact form doesn't work?

    This week's five-minute challenge:

    • Test your website links.
    • Verify your phone number.
    • Submit a test through your contact form.
    • Make sure your contact information is easy to find and read on a mobile device.

Because being found is important. Being recommended is even better. But customers still need a way to contact you!

    2026/10/03

What the heck is Structured Data?
It sounds complicated... but it's actually one of the simplest ways to help Google and AI understand your business.
Imagine writing a secret message with one of those invisible ink pens. Nobody can see it until someone shines a blacklight on it.
That's exactly what Structured Data does.
Your customers never see it, but Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and other AI platforms do.
In this episode of The AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson explains Structured Data without the geek speak. You'll discover why AI doesn't like guessing, why Schema Markup acts like a roadmap for your business, and how making your website easier to understand can make it easier for AI to recommend your business.
If you've ever wondered what Structured Data actually is, and why everyone keeps talking about it, this episode will finally make it click.

  • The Death of the 25-Year-Old Search Box | The AI Search Briefing #1
    2026/09/06

In this inaugural episode of The AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson of 7Trillion SEO breaks down what may be the biggest change to Google Search in twenty-five years.
Google's new Intelligent Search Box is transforming the way people search online. Instead of typing short keyword phrases like "carpet cleaner near me," users can now ask complex, conversational questions and even include videos, PDFs, and other content directly within the search experience.
What does this mean for your business?
It means the old keyword-first approach is rapidly giving way to intent-based search. Google is increasingly focused on understanding complete conversations, not just matching keywords.
In this episode, Ralph explains why businesses need to rethink their websites, Google Business Profiles, and online visibility strategies if they want to remain visible in the new era of AI Search.
If your website is still speaking the language of old-school search, you may be preparing for a future that no longer exists.

  • The Confidence Factor | AI Search Briefing #3
    2026/09/07

What does A-I need before it can recommend your business?
    Confidence.
Confidence that your business is legitimate.
Confidence that your information is accurate.
Confidence that you're the best answer for the customer.
As AI Search continues to evolve, trust and authority are becoming increasingly important. Search platforms are no longer simply looking for information. They are looking for confidence in that information.
In this episode of the AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson explores why websites, Google Business Profiles, reviews, service pages, and overall online authority may matter more than ever.
Because in the A-I Search era, being found is good.
    But being trusted is better.
And being recommended is the goal.

  • The Rise of the 24-7 Information Agent. | AI Search Briefing #2
    2026/09/06

In Episode 2 of The AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson explores one of the most significant announcements from Google's Intelligent Search rollout: Information Agents.
These new AI-powered assistants are designed to monitor information in the background, helping users discover businesses, services, and solutions without manually searching for them.
What does this mean for local businesses?
It means your website, Google Business Profile, reviews, and online presence must be structured in a way that AI systems can understand. If your digital footprint is unclear, incomplete, or difficult for AI to interpret, you may never make the shortlist when recommendations are made.
In this episode, Ralph explains why schema markup, website clarity, and digital trust signals are becoming critical components of modern AI Search visibility.
The future of search is no longer just about ranking.
It's about being understood, trusted, and recommended.
