Can a dry place be beneficial? We see that after Jesus came out of the wilderness He was able to accomplish His purpose. He healed, casted out devils, and produced fishers of men. Jesus fulfilled every aspect of God's will. We also see that after the wilderness Jesus received power. Without power Jesus wouldn't have been able to complete God's plan. Jesus knew that being God's Son wasn't enough to empower Him on His journey. Every desert experience should empower us to complete a certain aspect of God's will. God may have brought you into a wilderness or dry place because He wants you to be completed. It is only after we've been through the wilderness that God can give us what we need to succeed. Jesus promised the Samaritan woman that whoever drinks from the water He gives will have eternal life and a well springing within them. This well is our inner capacity to hide the Word of God in our hearts. The desert is where we increase our capacity for God's Word. This capacity is a deep understanding of the Word. It is how the Word has changed and transformed us. When this is shared with others it creates change and a righteous influence. It points people to our Savior. Digging in the Word daily is a requirement for usefulness. When God decides to use us, He won't be limited by what He can say through you. How's your spiritual capacity? Has your inner man developed into a well?

To be a usable vessel in God's hands we must go through wilderness-type situations. These trials are dry, unpleasant, and sometimes lack relief. We see how God used Jesus's time in the wilderness to finish the making process. Likewise, our wilderness needs to complete God's process resulting in ultimate usefulness. The wilderness is used to develop our identity in Christ. "If thou art the Son of God". This is the question the enemy asks every child of God he encounters in the desert. What will be your response? Do you remember who you are as a child of God?

Our responsibility as vessels of change is to heal the land. Every person in darkness is spiritually wounded. God wants to use us to bring healing to them as we share the gospel of Christ. For this to manifest we must first be healed. Becoming a new cruse includes spiritual and physical healing. When Jesus healed people, He made them whole. The goal of healing is to be made complete. Without healing the world can not come into a place of completeness. People will continue to live in a partial state if we do not bring the healing power of the gospel.

What is your prayer life like? Do you pray for your city, family and friends? As a vessel that God wants to use, we care called to not be lazy, careless children of God. We in turn must pray. God sees a nonexistent prayer life as lazy. If we want to create change, we have to go to the Father and ask Him. God will not intervene except His children cry out for His Spirit to be released. What will be your response to what you see around you? Will you complain, gossip, or pray?

God doesn't use people He uses containers. If you aren't willing to be made into a usable container then you simply can't be used. God does not use ready-made man to impact or change the land. He uses vessels that He has hand-crafted Himself. God is looking to make us pure containers, full of righteousness. If we are impure, we will only squander God's plan for our lives and others'. Every Christian should be focused on being a properly made vessel that God might achieve His will on the Earth. Are you willing to be made?

If the source of your life is bad, then your life can only produce evil. A life whose source isn't God cannot produce a godly life. This dynamic is connected to the principle of reproduction. A life can only reproduce the life it currently carries. If we want to cause change in our environment, then we must bear the correct source. If coming out of us is a contaminated Jesus, then we can only give that same Jesus to the world. Do not be deceived God will not be mocked, for that which a man sows he will reap. Where God wants to make change is first in us. If God doesn't do something in your inside, innermost being, inner man than He cannot use you as a vessel of change. Change of life starts in the inner man. God wants to do this by equipping us with His salt. The salt of Christ protects you from all unrighteousness. Because there is no sin in Christ, the seed of God keeps us from sinning. God's salt also preserves you. The preservation of Christ keeps our life fresh not allowing it to ever become stale. Will you allow the salt of Christ to affect your heart, spirit, and inner man.
