The BuildingBusiness Podcast returns to TechBBQ for the third year in a row — recording live from the conference floor in Copenhagen.

Across two packed days, we sit down with founders, investors, operators, innovators and the people actually building what comes next.

The format is simple: no polished corporate pitches, no rehearsed answers and no generic panel talk. Just real conversations about what people are building, what is working, what is failing, what they have learned along the way, and where they believe their industries are heading next.

Recorded live at TechBBQ ’26 on August 26–27, the series captures the energy, ideas and people behind one of the Nordics’ most important startup and technology gatherings.

  • TechBBQ '26 Ep. 7: Your Product Isn’t the Problem — Your Sales Might Be
    2026/10/07
What if your startup doesn’t have a product problem — but a sales problem?
Live from TechBBQ 2026, Christian Arnø sits down with Albert, founder of LR Partners, for a conversation about cold outreach, founder-led sales, persistence and why early-stage companies often spend too much time building and too little time selling.
Albert sees the same pattern again and again: product founders assume poor sales mean the product is wrong, while sales founders can move too fast and decide they understand the market before speaking with enough actual customers.
His advice is simple: get into the market, call people, try to sell, listen to the objections, adjust — and repeat.
The conversation also explores why customers care far more about the problem you solve than the features you built, why some deals take dozens of follow-ups over years, and how AI could change outbound sales.
Because if AI makes cold outreach infinitely scalable, we may eventually end up with AI sales agents talking directly to AI buyers.
But for now, the advice remains stubbornly old-school:
Pick up the phone and start selling.

  • TechBBQ '26 Ep. 6: When Success Becomes Your Biggest Weakness | Meta-Cognitive Leadership
    2026/09/30
What if success is actually one of the most dangerous things that can happen to a leader?
Live from TechBBQ 2026, Christian Arnø sits down with Nicolai, an experienced leadership advisor, coach and former McKinsey consultant, for a conversation about success, uncertainty, AI and the hidden weaknesses that can emerge when leaders become too comfortable with what already works.
Nikolai argues that the qualities that make a leader successful can eventually become the same qualities that stop them from adapting. Success creates confirmation, habits harden into assumptions, and uncertainty becomes something to avoid rather than explore.
As AI makes answers faster, cheaper and more accessible, the conversation shifts to a bigger question: if everyone can get answers, does leadership increasingly become about asking better questions?
The discussion develops into what we call meta-cognitive leadership — not just making decisions, but understanding the thinking and assumptions behind those decisions.
Great leaders still need to execute decisively. But they also need enough curiosity and playfulness to rethink the world around them when it changes.
Because sometimes your greatest strength can become your biggest weakness.

  • TechBBQ ’26 Ep. 5: Can We Grow Real Fish Without Catching Fish? Cultivated Seafood Explained
    2026/09/29
What if we could produce real fish — without continuously catching fish?
Live from TechBBQ 2026, Christian Arnø sits down with Alexander Shepski, co-founder of Sea Growth, to talk about cultivated seafood, biotechnology and the future of food production.
Sea Growth is developing fish products by growing cells from fish eggs inside bioreactors. Unlike plant-based alternatives, the goal is to produce the same proteins and fatty acids found in conventional fish while reducing pressure on wild fish stocks.
The conversation explores whether cultivated seafood could be considered vegan, how the technology could help feed a growing population, why regulation may be a bigger obstacle than the science itself, and whether future food production could start looking more like brewing than farming.
Could this eventually become a completely normal way to produce seafood?
And if the biological product is essentially the same as fish — is it really artificial at all?
