The Resilient Working Mum

A podcast for high-performing working mothers - and the organisations that rely on them - navigating pressure, performance, and the invisible load of modern work and life.

You might look like you’re coping on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or constantly “on call” behind the scenes. This is where we make sense of that experience and change it.

The focus of this podcast is on the internal patterns shaping how you think, respond, and show up at work and at home.

I’m Charlotte Haggie, resilience specialist, coach, and working mum. I help high-achieving women build the capacity to stay steady under pressure so that they can think clearly, lead effectively, and be present in the moments that matter.

Inside this podcast, we move beyond surface-level solutions like time-management and organisation.

You’ll learn how to:
• stay focused and make clear decisions under pressure
• respond with intention
• build self-trust and emotional stability
• reduce the mental load that drains your energy
• sustain high performance over time

For leaders and organisations, these conversations offer insight into the drivers of burnout, disengagement, and retention risk in high-performing women, along with a clearer understanding of what supports long-term performance and wellbeing.

This is about developing the capacity to handle complexity, pressure, and responsibility with clarity, steadiness, and control.

  • 150 | How to Stop a Change of Plans Ruining Your Day | 10 Signs of Resilience #8
    2026/10/27

When plans change unexpectedly, it can be incredibly difficult to stay calm, flexible and present instead of letting that one disruption derail your entire day. In Sign #8 of 10 Signs Your Resilience Is Growing, we explore why changed plans can trigger frustration, stress and a loss of control, what cognitive flexibility has to do with emotional resilience, and why we sometimes find ourselves grieving the day we thought we were going to have.

Listen to this episode to find out how building your resilience can help you adapt when life doesn’t go according to plan, let go of what you expected and respond more calmly to what is needed in this moment.

Resilience isn't something you're born with. It's a skillset you can build.

  • 149 | Stop Wasting Time Replaying Conversations in Your Head | 10 Signs of Resilience #7
    2026/10/20

Replaying conversations in your head steals your time, peace and presence, leaving you analysing what you said, worrying about what someone thinks of you or wishing you had responded differently. In Sign #7 of 10 Signs Your Resilience Is Growing, we dig into why overthinking past conversations can turn into rumination and mental looping, how to tell the difference between useful reflection and unhelpful replaying and why self-trust and emotional resilience help you let conversations end when they end! You will walk away with a simple way to decide whether there is something to repair, learn or release so that you can stop staying stuck in conversations that have already happened and bring your attention back to the life you are actually living.

Resilience isn't something you're born with. It's a skillset you can build.

  • 148 | How to Stay Calm When You Don’t Know What Will Happen | 10 Signs of Resilience #6
    2026/10/13

Uncertainty can trigger overthinking, anxiety and a desperate need for control, particularly when you’re used to being capable, organised and having a plan. In this episode, we talk about the sixth sign that your resilience is growing and it is that you can trust yourself in the inevitable uncertainty of life.

We unpack why not knowing what happens next can feel so uncomfortable, how intolerance of uncertainty can lead to worrying, reassurance-seeking and trying to control outcomes, and why growing resilience means learning to trust yourself even when you don’t have all the answers.

Find out how self-trust and emotional resilience can help you stay steady in uncertainty, take the next wise step and respond to whatever happens next without needing to predict or control it first.

Resilience isn't something you're born with. It's a skillset you can build.
