The Greek word for Amen is ἀμήν (amēn).

It carries the sense of:

• Truly
• Certainly
• Surely
• It is true
• So be it
• I affirm/agreed

But there’s something especially powerful for your podcast: Amen is not originally a Greek word. Greek ἀμήν is a transliteration of the Hebrew/Aramaic אָמֵן (āmēn).

The Hebrew root is connected to the idea of being firm, reliable, trustworthy, or certain.

That's why when Jesus says “Amen, I say to you…”—often translated “Truly, I say to you”—He is emphasizing the certainty and truthfulness of what He is about to say.

And Revelation 3:14 takes this even further, where Jesus is called:

“The Amen, the faithful and true Witness...”

What it means

There are some seasons in your life where God will give you a word that makes absolutely no sense according to your current circumstances.

He will tell you to move when everything around you says stay.

He will tell you to believe when everything you're looking at says it's over.

He will tell you to build when you don't see rain.

He will tell you to go when you don't know where you're going.

He will tell you to let it go when you don't understand why.

And here's the difficult part:

God may give you the instruction before He gives you the explanation.

That's where faith comes in.

Because if God explained everything before He asked you to believe Him, you wouldn't need faith.

The Purpose

This episode challenges men to stop measuring themselves by how they look, how they perform, or what people think about them, and start examining where they actually are.

Because you can be successful and still be stuck.
You can be busy and still be lost.
You can look strong and still be struggling.
You can be surrounded by people and still be disconnected.
