And we’re back….finally. Hey in our defense it takes a long time to read all these fantastic books. That said we recorded this a while ago, I was just derelict in my duties to release it, and for that, dear listener, I am sorry. I know how empty your life must feel without the dulcet tones of your three friends at the Supplementalists.

Enough sentimentality. Today we have one of the greatest works of literature ever penned, and I really don’t think anyone would think this claim is hyperbole either. Today we have the Odyssey by Homer (well maybe Homer). This is one of those work that has shaped civilizations and for good reason. We hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we hope that our conversation was useful in some way

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening or whenever you decide to listen to this. There are authors and books that have had almost incalculable influence on our world today and I would venture to guess that the book that we have for you today is one of those books. Today we draw your attention to The Confessions by Augustine of Hippo. From church fathers and pastors/teachers throughout the last 1600 years, to an enlightenment philosophe like Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the Confessions of Augustine of been read, and quoted, and emulated, and co-opted.
