Fr. Avel reminds us that "we are all called to become saints." Holiness is not about being perfect but allowing God's mercy to cleanse and renew us. He highlights three ways to grow in holiness: allow Christ to raise us when we fall, keep our hearts focused on God through daily prayers, and dare to live differently by following the beatitudes. Through mercy, forgiveness and peace-making, we learn to love as Jesus loves. As Fr. Avel says, "we do not need to wait until we become perfect to start living holy lives."

Fr. Prabhu reminds us that our love for God comes alive in the way we love one another. Faith is more than mere belief; it gives us wings to rise above our comfort zones, trust in God's providence, and put His love into action.

Drawing from the three Scripture readings, Fr. Prabhu challenges us to recognise and respond to the needs of those around us including members of our own families and faith community. Just as the Thessalonians inspired others through their faith, we too are called to share Christ through our words and actions.

True faith gives us wings to draw closer to God, but it must also inspire us to help others encounter Him. The way we live and love may be the means through which others experience God.

Fr Joseph expounds on the invitation to the heavenly banquet and the wedding garment. God is generous inviting everyone to the feast. The wedding garment is the divine grace and by wearing it we allow God’s grace to dwell in us. We should commit to living as graced persons, in compassion, love and mercy, both in Church as well as in the world.

What kind of harvest is your life producing? Fr. Glenn invites us to reflect on the gifts God has entrusted to us: our lives, relationships, abilities, faith and creation. Through the vineyard parable, he reminds us that we are caretakers, called to nurture love, justice, peace and generosity. God's patience invites ongoing conversion, expressed through kindness and care for others and the earth.

Jesus, the rejected stone who became the cornerstone, remains the foundation of our lives. The mission continues through us, carrying His love into the world. With no "plan B", Christ counts on our response.

Beyond what we achieve or possess, what matters is the goodness we cultivate and the kingdom we help build through our everyday choices.

Fr Peter Wee reminds us that we are often fragmented because sin remains within us, despite our prayer and practice of faith. Yet we have the free will to repent and change. Like the two sons in the Gospel, what matters is not simply what we say, but whether we ultimately do God’s will. This transformation is a lifelong process.

Beyond attending church and doing good works, we must deepen our relationship with Jesus through prayer, reflection and attentiveness to God. As Christ becomes increasingly rooted in our minds and hearts, our lives become less fragmented and more harmonised with God’s will.

Whether we respond early or late, God's invitation remains open, and our worth is determined not by achievement, recognition or comparison, but by the One who knows and calls us by name.

Being chosen also means being being sent. we are invited to become instruments of God's love by reaching out to those who feel forgotten, rejected or left behind, reminding them that they too have a place in His vineyard.

Upon reflecting on the human and natural reaction to being wronged, vengeance and retaliation, today’s readings bide us to extend ourselves in forgiveness. Perhaps we can try forgiving 70x 7 times, trying over and over again, or if not, looking at Jesus on the cross, in his final moments and asking for the grace to forgive.
