Removing the fear of being transparent will change your relationships for the better.

Welcome to Staying Real About Faith & Family. If you’re looking for a community where you can get real about life without resistance, you’re in the right place. I’m Linda Goldfarb. Each week, my co-host Heather Greer and I offer personal insight to encourage transparent living from a biblical viewpoint with practical applications. Staying Real with the Holy Spirit’s leading is what we’re all about. We pray today’s Foundational Encore episode blesses you.

Have you considered the benefits of relational transparency?

Being transparent changes the way we treat others. In this episode, Linda shares:

    • What is transparency?
    • How can we use Biblical truth to release falsehoods holding us back from loving God, ourselves, and others more?
    • What verbal releases can we use to help embrace transparency?
    • How does understanding our God-design help us in how we treat others?

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Share them in the comments on our website!

Betrayal can consume us with anger if we are not careful.
Linda and Heather talk with today’s guest as she shares her story and the truths she discovered on her journey.

Welcome to Staying Real About Faith & Family. If you’re looking for a community where you can get real about life without resistance, you’re in the right place. I’m Linda Goldfarb. Each week, my co-host Heather Greer and I, along with our guests, offer personal insight to encourage transparent living from a biblical viewpoint with practical applications. Staying Real with the Holy Spirit’s leading is what we’re all about. We pray today’s episode blesses you.

Today’s guest is Robin Wilson. Robin began to understand God's character in new ways as He walked her through the trauma of marital betrayal and began healing her heart. After seeing God's love, trustworthiness, and healing firsthand, it has become her heart's desire to share truths about God's character with women who are on the journey of recovery from betrayal. Robin and her friend Christy Bottom co-authored Who is God Now? Hope in God after Betrayal.

Robin, betrayal can wound us for life… and I’m glad you're here today to share God’s truth that will ease the pain. Let’s begin by discussing what it was like for you to experience marital betrayal.

What truths do you want to pass along to other women who are on the same journey?
    Lamentations 3:22-25
    Luke 22:61
    Psalm 27:13
    2 Corinthians 1:4
    Psalm 121:1-2
    Philippians 4;8

What practical applications to gain hope can you share with us?

Are You On the Verge of Being Fearless?

Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

The moment we take God’s truth seriously—We become fearless.

    • Fearless to love as He loves.
    • Fearless to speak truth with compassion.
    • Fearless to see others as God sees them.
    • Fearless to stand against the lies of the enemy.

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

What say ye, my friend? Is today the day?

    • No more staying in the shadows of fear.
    • No more wondering if God can really use you.
    • No more doubting the path God has laid in front of you.

Take up the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith with confidence. Trust that He Who goes before you—is always for you.

    Let's journey together.

    I praise You, Lord.

Your word is the light I follow. Your word is the truth I depend on.

You alone deserve my allegiance and praise.

Hallelujah, You are holy, and Your word is my strength.

I walk with confidence. I speak in love.

I see with eyes wide open. To Your glory, hallelujah!

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • How Men Can Make Devotion Time Stand Out with Tim Shoemaker
    2025/01/11

Helping men to teach their kids spiritual truths. Tim Shoemaker helps men and the women who love them make hard choices to change their child’s spiritual future trajectory.

Hey everyone, this is a solo interview. I’m on-site at the FCWC, and I’m so happy Tim Shoemaker joined our conversation as we discuss how men can make devotion time stand out.

By God’s grace, Tim is the author of over 20 books and speaks at conferences for parents, men, and writers nationwide. Tim’s interactive, object lesson-oriented family devotions have helped countless parents teach their kids about God in ways where they’ll listen ... even teens.
    We discuss:

    • Why is it hard for some men to teach their kids spiritual truth—and how can that change?
    • What if one of the kids is older—and they push back against devotions because they think family devotions are just for kids?
    • How often would you suggest a family do devotions like this?

  • What Are Your Thoughts About the Book of Revelation?
    2025/01/08

What Are Your Thoughts About the Book of Revelation?

Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

The book of Revelation can be a difficult pill to swallow. The thought of so many being tormented. So many dying.

We can get caught up in the visuals of these passages and miss the bottom line.

Those who do not follow Yeshua will suffer greatly to the extent of eternal separation from YHWH.

For those who follow Jesus, the story has not ended—yet.

You and I still have time to share the gospel with those who do not yet know Him.

I believe that’s why we are told to read Revelation. Not to fear what’s coming, but to prepare our hearts, words, and deeds to influence those YHWH has placed in our paths with Truth.

We are told the path to heaven is narrow. Narrow by whose standards?

Let us not neglect the sharing of Truth, thinking only a “small” group of people will enter eternal glory, so why bother?

Instead, let us remember that YHWH measures time differently than we do; therefore, His concept of “narrow” time may be different from ours.

Let us run with abandon, sharing the Gospel of Yeshua with everyone, and squeeze through the gate together. Oh, that we might enter the narrow gate side-by-side.

Blessings and Shalom to you and your families.

    Let’s journey together

Father, fill me with a deep passion for sharing the truth about Your Son, Jesus Christ, with everyone I know.

Remove barriers that silence my sharing.

Open my eyes to see the hearts of Your children from Your perspective, that I may care for them as You do.

Let not a day go by with missed opportunities to talk about Your love and mercy.

Guide my path to those who are ready to receive the truth that transforms for eternity.

To You, O Lord, be all glory, and honor, and praise.

    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • How Submission Transforms Marriages with Shellie Arnold
    2025/01/04

    Join our conversation!

Sisters, the Scriptures tell us to submit to our husbands. Are you struggling with this word of God? Today’s guest helps us move beyond the struggle into a transformed marriage.

Hey everyone, this is a solo interview today. I’m on-site at the Florida Christian Writers Conference, and so happy to have Shellie Arnold join our conversation about Submission in Marriage.

Shellie Arnold’s passion is helping marriages flourish. As a kid from a broken home in her early teens, she decided she wasn’t going to marry. Then, as Shellie describes it, God “called” her to marriage

Shellie says her marriage of thirty-eight-plus years is an “on-going miracle” that God continues every day. She believes Christians can learn to think strategically, work with God, and transform their marriages. After all, Jesus died to redeem every part of our lives. We can experience His redemption in every part of our marriages.

    • What is biblical submission?
    • What isn’t true of biblical submission?
    • How can we use biblical submission to transform our marriage?

Today’s thought Consideration – When Wives Submit, Marriages Transform.

  • Is Your Trust in God a Secondhand Faith?
    2025/01/01

    Join our conversation!

Is your trust in God a secondhand faith?

Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

Growing up, I believed what I saw, whether perceived or factual. I'm a visual and tactile kind of gal. I feel it, see it, and believe it.

Yet, I've lived long enough to discover that much of what I see is mere facades—candy coatings that promise one thing and deliver another. When these false concepts are spoken with fervor or displayed with confidence, they come across as believable.

My immature faith was the same. I watched. Heard. Believed. Went on with life.

When I experienced firsthand the power and depth of God’s love for me, my spirit shifted.

My knowing about Jesus and how much God loved me transformed into a supernatural and intimate understanding of who Yeshua (Jesus) truly is, how the Holy Spirit actively guides me, and why YHWH (God) wants an intimate relationship with me.

I no longer had a secondhand faith based on what others said or what I was told I needed to believe. My faith grew into a supernatural, intimate trust in my Creator. This transformation was a literal life changer.

Have you experienced firsthand trust like this? You can.

Reach out to Father. All He has is available to you. Wisdom and knowledge are never-ending with YHWH.

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” Romans 11:33 ESV

Firsthand faith grows through our trust in Yeshua.

Spiritual intimacy is experienced through the Holy Spirit in us. Once we feel a deep connection with the Father, life changes forever.

Trust in the honest prayer that comes from your heart. Speak it out, and don’t be afraid to share how you really feel with the Holy Spirit. He hears and cares for you!

    Let’s journey together

YHWH, You love me deeply, and I’m blessed by Your attention to the details in my life. Thank You, Yeshua, for Your Spirit. By Your Spirit, I can walk out my faith with strength beyond my abilities. My trust and hope is in You, to the moon and beyond.

    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

Hey everyone, this is a solo interview today, as I’m on-site at the FCWC. I’m so happy to have Tama Fortner join our conversation as we discuss ten habits we can cultivate to seek, find, and—if necessary—create joy in our lives every day.

Tama Fortner is an ECPA award-winning and bestselling author with more than sixty titles to her credit. She is the writer behind the million-selling Indescribable for Kids series with Louie Giglio and several books in the Jesus Calling children’s line, including the wildly successful Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions for Kids. Her latest releases include The Gospel Story for Kids from Tyndale and Everyday Joys Devotional from Ink and Willow/Waterbrook. Tama lives on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee, with her family and two pups, one who is a bit feisty and convinced that he’s people, too.

    Today's conversation covers the following:
Is it really possible to have joy in our lives every single day?

Is there a difference between joy and happiness?

The ten habits we should begin to cultivate.

    • Begin each day with God
    • Get outside and into His creation
    • Seek the signs of His presence
    • Talk to Him
    • Do something that makes someone else smile
    • Do something that makes you smile
    • Do something that makes God smile
    • Unplug
    • Rest each day
    • End the day with gratitude and praise
