In this episode, I reflect on trying to jump into Star Ocean: The Second Story after playing the first, and how it didn’t click right away—maybe because it felt too familiar, or maybe because I wasn’t ready for another galaxy-spanning quest.
I share how Rogue Galaxy gave me similar vibes but managed to land better with me right now, and why I seem to keep gravitating toward epic RPGs even when I’m craving something smaller. It’s about expectations, timing, and knowing what you’re really in the mood for—even when you don’t.
