  • Water into Wine | Brad Straarup
    2026/02/24

Who is Jesus… really? In this 7-week series leading up to Easter, we’re walking through the seven signs in the Gospel of John — miracles that don’t just show what Jesus can do, but reveal who He is.

John tells us his purpose clearly: these signs were written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God — and that by believing, we may have life in His name (John 20:30–31).

This week, we begin with Jesus’ first sign: turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana (John 2). But this miracle is more than saving a celebration. It’s a sign pointing to a new Kingdom.

Stone jars used for ceremonial cleansing.

    Water meant for ritual washing.
Jesus doesn’t empty them — He fills them and transforms them.

Cana points to Calvary. The wine foreshadows the blood He would one day shed. What was once impure can be made new. What was once incomplete can be made whole.

At the center of it all is one simple call:
    “Do whatever He tells you.”

Belief isn’t just knowledge. It’s obedience.
Small steps of faith. On-the-way trust.

  • Overcoming Shame | Brad Straarup
    2026/02/16

Have you ever done something you regret… and it didn’t just make you feel guilty — it made you feel ashamed?

Shame doesn’t just make us feel bad. It makes us hide. It makes us cover up. And it keeps us from going all-in with God and the people we need most.

In the final week of Better Together, we’re talking about how to overcome shame and step into real freedom. From the very beginning of Scripture, we see the pattern: God created us for community — but sin introduced shame, and shame pushed humanity into hiding.

But Jesus didn’t come to condemn you. He came to bring you into the light.

While it’s impossible to live without sin in this life, it is possible to live without shame. Confession brings forgiveness. Bringing things into the light brings healing. And real, biblical community is where shame loses its power.

If you’ve been hiding, covering, performing, or carrying something alone… this message is for you.

  • Is Your Phone Replacing Your People? | Brad Straarup
    2026/02/09

Is your phone quietly destroying your community?
We live in a culture of radical individualism—and the result is a loneliness epidemic. But Jesus didn’t design us to follow Him alone. In Week 2 of our Better Together series, we talk about the #1 destroyer of community and one of the biggest reasons people feel isolated today: distraction—especially the kind we carry in our pockets.

Brad teaches from 2 John 12, where John says some things are too important for “paper and ink”—they must be shared face to face. In a world of texts, screens, and highlight reels, we’re more connected than ever… and yet more lonely, anxious, and disconnected than ever.

This message is a call back to the power of presence—showing up, staying close, and choosing real, Christ-centered relationships over cheap digital substitutes. We look at the early church in Acts 2:42–47 and what happens when God’s people are truly together: devotion, fellowship, prayer, generosity, unity, and spiritual power.

This week, put the phone down and pick people up. Let’s build a church where no one stands alone.
