  • The Original Cowbell Moment with Alison South CEO Mike Thomas
    2021/11/30

Welcome to Southie Sessions, an Alison South Marketing Group Podcast hosted by Emily Ann Lively (EA) and produced by Augusta Podcasts. In this show, “EA” interviews clients, creatives, and everyone in between to hear their stories.

In this show, our theme is “Ringing the Cow Bell.” That comes from an SNL skit called “More Cowbell,” in which a band’s producer encourages originality and creativity in the form of an empassioned Cow Bell tone. At Alison South, we “Ring the Bell” to celebrate achievements big and small, and that’s what this show is all about!

Today’s guest, Mike Thomas, is the Founder & CEO of Alison South. He tells his story about starting in business as a college student creating a radio station (that put him in unspeakable debt at that time!) and how his relationships all built up towards eventually coming together over his Kitchen Table (Capitalized intentionally, Stay Tuned for the Book!) with his former Step-Mom Cynthia South in order to build a small marketing service that eventually became the multi-million dollar institution that exists today: Alison South.

Mike also talks about his passions, his personal story, and his new family connection. In a kick-off to be remembered, Mike also shares his - the ORIGINAL - Ring the Cow Bell Moment.
