  • ALL THE SINGLE LADIES : Navigating Relationships in the Age of Apps | Wk 3
    2026/02/16

Forty-seven percent of American adults are single; more than any time in history. Yet, despite the apps, algorithms, matchmaking services, and well-meaning aunties indiscriminately handing out your number, it still feels impossible to find someone. Life devolves into a sad string of awkward texts, disgusting DM’s, bad dates, and unsatisfying hookups. Then there’s all the married people weighing in with what you ought to change to be more marketable. Because obviously life doesn’t start until you’ve locked down your special someone. Is that true?

What if it’s not in the cards for you? Why’s it taking so long? What do you do with all your loneliness, longings, hopes, and heartbreak? How did we get here & where do we go from here?

Spend five minutes scrolling social media and you can identify five places you’d love to live. Especially if you’re unhappy with where you’re at. Your ideal of somewhere else is flawless. But you’ve memorized every imperfection of your current reality. It’s tempting to daydream about how much better your life would be if you lived somewhere else, worked somewhere else, were married to someone else. Is that true though? Even if you found something better, wouldn’t you just still be you in a different location or situation? How do you become the best version of you regardless of where you are? What if the solution isn’t uprooting, but digging deeper right where you’re at?
