I wrote about this, so please give it a look: https://medium.com/me/stats/post/6e60eb28faa9 https://medium.com/me/stats/post/6e60eb28faa9
Now that my article’s finally out I can talk about it all on this podcast.
As a brown/south Asian, growing up, I always had about this wild fantasy to live abroad, travel, speak other languages, and write about it all. But the reality I was born in was the polar opposite to my dreams that knew no limits. How shameless was my mind, to dare to go beyond what met the eye!
I’ve been ridiculed for having all these dreams that are native, overly optimistic and unrealistic many times in my life. The idea was shot down several time by the culture I grew up in, people who hated my guts to think about doing something they didn’t have the courage for, and some times by the harsh reality of the world, the economy, politics at play. I’m convinced that I’m here not to live by the rules. I’m here to bend them. So I’m going to live my life unapologetically. Ruthlessly, chasing my wild dreams. Hope you enjoy this episode!
