    Eight years after her first appearance on So Shameless, Tahoe’s daughter Denae returns to the podcast — but this time she’s grown, college-educated, building her own brand, and ready to put her father in the HOT SEAT! 😂
    What is it REALLY like being Tahoe’s daughter? From growing up with a father who’s known throughout the neighborhood to becoming a content creator herself, Denae opens up about finding her own identity, building her brand, and whether there’s any competition between her and her dad.
    Things get personal when Denae discusses how she felt when Tahoe believed he had another daughter, only to discover the child wasn’t his. She also addresses Tahoe’s relationship with her boyfriend and whether her father crossed the line when he got involved in an issue between them.
    Then the tables turn, and Denae starts asking the questions!
    Is Tahoe fatphobic? If he could do life over, would he still choose to have children? What characteristics did Denae inherit from him that he can’t stand? Where does he see himself in ten years? And why is he so against his daughter moving to Maryland to be closer to her boyfriend?
    Tahoe doesn’t let her off easy either!
    He wants to know how Denae REALLY feels about his involvement in the adult entertainment and sex-positive community. Is she embarrassed by her father’s explicit social media content? How does she handle people knowing what her dad does? And why did she ignore his rule about introducing potential boyfriends to him BEFORE dating them?

    Next, Jay-Z is officially headlining the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show! But does Hov have enough hits and stage presence to carry the show by himself? Is his relationship with the NFL still a betrayal of Colin Kaepernick and everything he stood for? And if we’re talking legendary halftime performances, who would put on the better show: Kanye West or Jay-Z?

    We kick things off by discussing News With B’s remarkable autobiographical memory and how she and Tahoe originally met before diving into some of the biggest political and social issues affecting New Yorkers.
    Who’s making the decisions about our neighborhoods, and why aren’t more of us involved?
    We examine NYC’s proposed urban planning changes, the concept of a 20-minute city, controversial bus lanes and pedestrian islands, and how changes to city streets are affecting drivers, residents, and small businesses.
    We also discuss what’s really on the back of your ballot, why News With B believes voters should reject certain proposals, and the importance of understanding what you’re voting for before stepping into the booth.
    Then we get into Flock surveillance cameras, how law enforcement uses license plate recognition technology, and the privacy concerns that come with increased surveillance.
    Why aren’t more Black residents attending school board meetings, City Council hearings, and other public forums where decisions about our communities are being made? And what happens when we don’t show up?
    The conversation takes another turn as we discuss FD Signifier’s YouTube video Fallen Idols: How Black Leaders Fail Us, exploring why some prominent Black voices change their messaging after achieving success and whether our community holds its leaders accountable.
    We also debate the influence of white women in American elections, why some voters support policies that appear to conflict with their interests, and whether code-switching and appearing more humble around white people can help Black people get ahead professionally.
    Tahoe definitely has something to say about that last one! 👀
