On this week's Corner Blitz Podcast, we take a break from the boys and girls and call up a pair of professionals to drill down into a big Mississippi political movement — school choice. State Republicans are 'bout it, but the Mississippi Department of Education, the Mississippi High School Activities Association, and even the Midsouth Association for Independent Schools (which could profit handsomely from school choice) are aligned against it.
Jamie Creel is an MDE commissioner and former principal and coach. Tommy Clopton is the principal of Wesson Attendance Center and an MHSAA board member. They spend an hour going through this issue and how it could affect athletics in Mississippi. Then, they pick the games!
