Book club theorizes on the third quarter of The Last Contract of Isako, by Fonda Lee. theories get potentially more realistic, or more away from the truth, depending on who you agree with most! There is a beginning to some payoff with earlier foreshadowing and a heavy desire to see a bigger resolution at the end of the book to quite a few open threads concerning the greater world building developed.

In the final (for now) book club discussing Dungeon Crawler Carl, by Matt Dinniman, until publishing picks up with book #9, we discuss all of Horribles Two and predictions for the end of entire series.

We chat about how this book ranks against the others, some annoyances in spending page on the races, if Carl will become an/the AI, who will become the one true Ascendancy winner (is it Samantha?), how will the OIs physically look, who actually made it to the Caberet, how did we not spend more time with Mordecai as a table, and is there a mimic that's taking on the body of a crawler?

Bookclub continues to read and discuss Dungeon Crawler Carl book 8, A Parade of Horribles, by Matt Dinniman. Discussion topics include: maybe too much attention to what Imani's dog might mean, how Carl is now viewing NPC vs. Crawler lives, Carl is now a dog, wild theories on how spiders are master communicators within the dungeon, the mimic introduction was pretty well done, will the final arena just be one big crawler v mod dodgeball game, it all comes down to a pig, and the sweet friendship bonding with Pony.

Bookclub dives into the second chunk of the eight Dungeon Crawler Carl book, A Parade of Horribles, by Matt Dinniman. While we are not enthused by the most direct plot line of the races themselves, there are quite a few between the lines pieces that piqued our interest, including the introduction of Baby Uzi Jesus, all things Eris and coloring outside the lines, are both floors in one book, overall gods going haywire and the AI asking for help, and getting nervous about the fate of a pig.

Book club discusses the start to the eighth Dungeon Crawler Carl book, A Parade of Horribles, by Matt Dinniman. Overall thoughts to the start of a new floor kicks us off with expansion into wondering why Carl is for once not taking a pile of junk into his inventory, visualizing a 50/50 chopped manotaur, rooting for Li Na even as she murders everyone, and some theorizing into who will eventually take a deal at what floor.
