Jerome Arizona was one of richest copper mines ever found and was proclaimed to be "The Wickedest Town in the West.” Built at a 30-degree incline, Jerome is slowly sliding down the mountain and is America's most vertical city.. Many of the buildings are abandoned, and the old jailhouse and graveyard are closed to the public. Jerome is now known for its unique shops, restaurants, and wineries, as well as Room 32 of the town’s infamous Grand Jerome Hotel. Reportedly, a patron rolled his wheelchair off the balcony to his death there, while another later took his life inside room 32. Hotel guests claim doors open and close and the water faucets and lights randomly turn off and on.
