He discussed the overall thoughts on the season just gone and the season coming up where Filip makes it clear his goal, first and foremost, is to stay healthy.

He also spoke on the current strenght of both the men's and women's teams in Croatia despite there being a significantly low number of FIS racers in the country.

Filip also shared his thoughts on the upcoming 2025/26 Olympic season where ambitions are high and the sort of training that Filip is doing in the summer to prepare for the campaign.

In this episode, brought to you by Ski Racing Media, Alan and I chatted with the head coach of the men's Norwegian technical team, Ola Masdal. Ola shared his thoughts on a very successful season for his team with all four of the A team squad scoring at least one win across slalom and giant slalom. He spoke in detail about the meaning behind the "Attacking Vikings," a term coined by the 1990's Norwegian team and what it means to be part of this famous team. We also discussed the impact of a coach and the best philosophies that Ola has implanted to all the athletes he's worked with, whether that be a U12 in Norway with BSK or one of the best skiers in the world. Finally, Ola shares his dream for the 2025/26 Olympic season, which will hopefully involve more Norwegian success.

In our first interview of the summer series, brought to you by Ski Racing Media, Alan and I had the privilege to welcome the Norwegian tech star, Mina Furst Holtmann, to the podcast. She shared her overall impressions of her 2024/25 season. While Mina didn't score a World Cup podium last season, she was very happy with the increased level of consistency across slalom and GS. Holtmann also told us about growing up as a ski racer in a popular ski racing country like Norway and her route to the World Cup tour. She also discussed the current strength of both the women's and men's Norwegians teams ahead of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics in February, where Mina will look to become only the third Norwegian woman to win an Olympic alpine ski racing medal.
