Today JB and I are back on the campus of Murray State University with a Summer Update on the Women's Basketball Team and the FIVE SENIOR'S: Sharnecce Currie-Jelks (NATIONAL DBL/DBL LEADER) , Destiny Thomas, Keslyn Secrist, Haven Ford (MVC STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE YEAR), and Halli Poock (MVC PLAYER OF THE YEAR) We ask them about their thoughts and perspective on the upcoming season as well as what activities they were involved in this summer. With this upcoming season being their last, we talk about how they feel about pursuing a 3 PEAT of The Missouri Valley Conference Championship. Today JB and I are discussing the last 2 Years of what has been a blessing to both of us and as JB says, "the greatest retirement gift." We wanted to take time today to give thanks to God for the opportunities that we have had to meet and talk to some great and outstanding people. Also, share some of our testimony and what our personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ has meant to us and some of our favorite scriptures that communicate The Gospel message of what it means to be Saved, how to be Saved and the need to be Saved. Today from the Wellness Center on the Campus of Murray State University JB and I are talking with two transfers: Sydney Huber (Evansville), Claire Johnson (Nebraska), and four Freshman: Alli Linke, Katie Reed, Mary Grant, and Sophie Terry. These young women are the newcomers to the Women's Basketball Team which is preparing for a 3 PEAT as Missouri Valley Conference Champions!!! The Lady Racers are currently hosting a Team Camp for High Schools (43 schools, 72 teams , with 152 games being played) Today, Monday and Tuesday. We had great conversations about their backgrounds, style of play, how they decided to come to Murray State, and some fun facts that gives us an insight to their personalities.
