Something that I've learned about the fans is that they are meticulous in how they are receiving the voices of the characters.

They have to hear the voices so many times that they're hearing those voices when they're not even playing sometimes. And that makes how you approach it very different from say film, TV, things like that, right?

You can't be too musical, for example, because if you're always hearing the same musical pattern over and over again when you're playing, it can get really annoying.

And so if you're an actor, a tip is if the situation allows you to do two takes of the same line.

Something that you can do that's worked for me before is you can do the the take of the line that shows, yeah, I know how to act. I can put a lot of bells and whistles into this thing and the feeling.

And then the second take, and yes, I know that I'm doing this for a video game.

So I'm going to compress all of that, sort of like the compression option in audio software. I'm going to compress all that.

So you know that I'm aware that when we're in session, I can't be going all over the place. I'm going to keep it tight in a way that the players can listen to over and over again and appreciate because they listen to it over and over again, they're going to get the nuance.
