Donald Copeland is back at Seton Hall as an assistant coach — his third stint with the program, having played point guard there from 2002 to 2006 and previously served as an assistant. A standout player who scored over 700 points and dished more than 200 assists, Copeland led his senior team in scoring and earned accolades. His most recent role as Wagner’s head coach saw remarkable success: first NCAA Tournament appearance in 21 years, a historic NEC Championship won on the road, and their first-ever tournament win. Now returning to Seton Hall, Copeland brings proven experience in building winning programs and navigating high-stakes games — and fans are eager to see how he helps reignite the Pirates’ postseason momentum.

Elijah Fisher, Seton Hall’s rock last season, is back on campus and officially enrolled — just in time to lead the 2026-27 Pirates. Granted a temporary restraining order by a California judge, he’s cleared to play his fifth year, bringing invaluable Big East experience and defensive grit to a team rebuilding after losing most of its starters. A versatile force who thrived at power forward despite being a wing, Fisher’s return adds continuity and depth as the Pirates max out at 15 scholarships. Coach Holloway now faces tough decisions on rotation, especially with new talent expected to challenge for minutes. While his full eligibility remains pending, Fisher’s immediate presence offers a huge boost of leadership and familiarity as Seton Hall gears up for the grind ahead.

Donald Copeland is back at Seton Hall as an assistant coach under Shaheen Holloway, marking a surprising return after his departure from Wagner amid player mistreatment allegations — claims Seton Hall reportedly found unfounded. With Holloway prioritizing defense and physicality, Copeland’s deep Big East knowledge, familiarity with the Pirates’ culture, and proven success as a player, assistant, and head coach make him a strategic fit. Despite a past tense moment between the two, they’ve since reconciled — even scheduling another game — and now Copeland brings invaluable experience to Holloway’s staff as they aim for another NCAA Tournament run.

Seton Hall hoops just got a lot more exciting — the BIG EAST schedule dropped, and the Pirates are diving headfirst into a stacked 15-game conference run, starting with a road showdown against Georgetown. With season tickets under $400, it’s the perfect time to grab your seat for all the action at the Prudential Center. First home game? Dec 23 vs St. John’s — reigning champs. Then Chicago (DePaul), Cincinnati (Xavier), and back home for Creighton and UConn — that last one especially spicy after last year’s national runner-up finish. January’s brutal stretch includes road games at Villanova (former coach Kevin Willard’s new stomping grounds) and a return to MSG for a St. John’s rematch. February brings three straight home games — Butler, DePaul, then Villanova again — before closing with four of six on the road, including marquee matchups at Creighton, UConn, Marquette, and Butler. Season tickets now — plus priority for postseason and parking. Mini plans launching this week, single-game tickets Oct 13. Don’t miss a beat.

Seton Hall’s 2026-27 hoops season drops with a brutal Big East schedule—three of their first four league games are on the road, and they’ve got just three Saturday home games all year. But don’t worry, they’re bringing the drama to legendary venues like the Palestra, Madison Square Garden, and Walsh Gym. Non-conference matchups against Alabama, Wisconsin, Rutgers, N.C. State, and Kansas State could be pivotal resume-builders. Facing powerhouses like Creighton, UConn, and Marquette multiple times? That’s a gauntlet designed to test every ounce of grit. It’s tough, historic, and full of potential—Seton Hall’s season is shaping up to be one for the books.
