Sermon Title: New Life Under Grace
Bible Passage: Romans 6:1–14
Preacher: Ian Morrison
Date: 25th May 2025, 9:30 am
If we’re saved by grace, does it matter how we live? In Romans 6:1–14, Paul gives a resounding yes—not because grace gives us freedom to sin, but because grace gives us the power to live free from sin. This Sunday, Ian Morrison will lead us through this transformative passage, showing us what it truly means to live a new life under grace.
Through faith in Jesus, we have been united with Him in His death and resurrection. Our old self—ruled by sin—was crucified with Christ, and now we walk in the power of His risen life. Sin no longer has the final say. We’re not under law, burdened by guilt and striving—we’re under grace, shaped by love and empowered by the Spirit.
The gospel isn’t just about forgiveness—it’s about freedom. Jesus didn’t die merely to cancel our past, but to break the power of sin in our present and give us hope for a holy future. Because of His death and resurrection, we are called to count ourselves dead to sin and alive to God.
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the astonishing truth that, in Christ, we’re not who we used to be. Come and be renewed by the gospel that not only justifies, but transforms—leading us into a new life of joy, obedience, and freedom under grace.
