    The human being is always changing—from infancy to childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, and eventually old age. Therefore, if we identify ourselves only as changing human beings, our sense of well-being will rise and fall with the circumstances of life.

    When things go according to our preferences, we feel good. When our desires are fulfilled, we feel elated. But when our preferences are not met, when illness arises, or when the mind becomes agitated, we feel unhappy. This is natural because it is how the human being functions.

    However, when you come to know the unchanging Being that is always present, you discover a peace that does not depend on circumstances. In meditation, you directly experience that unchanging awareness. As a result, you come to know the peace that is ever-present, timeless, and unchanging.

  • Your Efforts May Backfire

    If you approach meditation the same way you handle everyday life, it might not give you the results you’re hoping for. In daily life, we rely on the mind—thinking, planning, and doing—to get what we want. Meditation is a bit different. It’s more about letting go and allowing a deeper, creative awareness—the quiet “Knower” within—to take the lead, rather than the busy “doer” mind.

    In meditation, we often say we’re seeking peace, freedom, or liberation. But notice something simple: when you’re sitting on your sofa, you’re not wishing to be there—you already know you are. In the same way, meditation gently shifts you from wanting to become something, to simply recognizing what you already are: The Knower, Pure Consciousness.

    Even just listening to these podcasts can help guide you into that space—where you can experience your true nature and rest in the awareness of your own Self.

    We are all aware of how the human condition and ego mechanism can bring about both joy and suffering. If you are tired of the rollercoaster of the human system, then think about how the ego, or sense of I, limits you.

    If you place your I only on the body, mind, and thoughts, it will always be changing, going up and going down. But if instead, through meditation, you experience the space free of any ego or sense of duality and includes everything, that space is forever Free, and that space you are!

  • Love is the Vision of Oneness

    Everyone wants Love. A mother and father easily and naturally love their child, as they have come from them, so they are one with them.

    When you look for love from another person, most people look for the experience of love. To have chemistry or attraction. Once that is experienced, then they may say, "I love you". However, that love is changing. When they love you back or meet your preferences, you love them. However, when they don't or you argue, then you may even say, "I hate you." In the yogi system, this is called Raag and Dwesh, attachment and aversion. When you are attached and you don't get your needs fulfilled, then you go into aversion or rejection. This has to happen when your love is attachment and not real love.

    The real state of love is unchanging, as it is based only on seeing your lover as your own being. Not to have them meet your needs, but you just love them unconditionally as they are. If you focus on the love that united you rather, than on trying to get your needs met or your minds to agree, then you have Pure Love or the Vision of Oneness, which is the real love. It is impossible to have two minds to always agree, so this knowledge of real love will give you the solution of how to keep the love alive even when you have differences.

  • Remaining Unaffected and Uninvolved

    In meditation, you experience Pure Awareness where you are unaffected and uninvolved by the thoughts in your mind and feelings in your body. You also have this direct knowledge every night when you are in deep sleep. However, in meditation, you can experience this state of purity even while you are awake. Then, when you open your eyes and again become involved in the waking state, you can forget this state of Pure Consciousness and begin to suffer with the identification with what you have had all of your life, as it is the human condition.

    Of course, you want to be the most effective in achieving what needs to be accomplished in your life, but you don't want to have fears, worries, anger, and dissatisfaction. As you remain only a human being with ego consciousness, you have no choice, as this is the state of the human experience.

    Since you have meditated and have had the direct experience of the free, expanded, and unaffected state of consciousness, you can bring this into the waking state. Then you are even more adept at accomplishing all that you want as you are not bogged down by stress and worry that drains your energy. With this enhanced energy and balance, you can be successful at all that you choose, but reside in the free or uninvolved state of awareness.   • Communicating from Oneness

    When we speak to each other and there is a common ground in our communication we enjoy it. When we discuss something and disagree there is disharmony. It can become a war of the ego of each person declaring they are right and the other is wrong. I like to take the stand that the purpose of communication is not only to get your point across but it is to please each other. Then right or wrong doesn't become the purpose of communication as we know it is always changing. Unchanging harmony becomes the purpose of communication.

    When you meditate you see the Oneness of all Beings free from ego and mind. When you start with this premise then you know that you can accept whatever the other is saying knowing it is just another viewpoint from their life experience or learning which has to be different than yours. Two people, or two minds, can never always agree. Therefore, you don't expect to always agree. Instead, you see the Oneness that we all share regardless of opinion. Opinion changes but Onesness never changes. When you communicate from Oneness you don't need to prove anything. Then you can accept a different opinion. You want to please others and, therefore, please the one Self that is alone everywhere.

  • Happiness if Self Effulgent

    Most people think that happiness only comes from fulfilling desires. When you get something that you think you want or need you can feel happy. When you don't get something that you want or when you don't have your preferences met, you feel unhappy. This is human nature which is always based on sometimes getting happiness and other times feeling unhappy. This up and down of happiness can't be helped as it is the human condition. However, when you understand how the human system works, then you don't only seek happiness through the human system. In meditation, you experience a state of peace or bliss which is self-effulgent. This means it is not based on any cause, such as fulfilling a desire or meeting a preference. It is not based on a sensual experience such as being with someone you love, eating delicious food, achieving success, or winning a contest. True, unchanging happiness is your true nature. It is self-effulgent as it is always there behind all of your thinking, feeling, and experiencing. It is the quiet or background space that is forever present.
