The Padres’ hot streak hit a bump in the road as they fell 9-3 to the Rockies in Denver, snapping their winning run after a thrilling early lead. Tatis Jr. and Campusano launched solo homers to ignite the offense, but Colorado’s six-run inning — capped by a three-run blast — turned the tide. The bullpen struggled, surrendering multiple runs, but manager Craig Stammen praised the team’s recent consistency despite the loss. Meanwhile, the Rockies ended an eight-game skid — a night of streaks reversed for both teams as the Padres gear up to rebound.

Cole Carrigg lit up the Padres with two homers and five RBIs, carrying the Rockies to a 9-3 rout that snapped San Diego’s eight-game win streak. After the Padres started hot with back-to-back solo shots, their pitching faltered against Colorado’s relentless offense, leaving too many runners stranded. Carrigg’s clutch hits—especially his sixth-inning blast—sealed the deal as the Rockies seized a rare victory in a tough season. The Padres, still in playoff contention, now face a setback in their climb, while Carrigg proves he’s got major-league power and poise.
