Back then, salt was valuable. It preserved food before there were refrigerators, it brought out flavor, and it was even used as pay. That is actually where the word salary comes from. Salt worked quietly and changed everything around it just by being there.

But salt can also lose its flavor. It can still look like salt while the substance is gone. That is what this show is about: how we live as salt, and how we get our flavor back when we feel like we have lost it.
