Justification is one of those words. It's central to the Christian Faith and what it means to be a believer in Jesus. But what does it mean?

In this sermon, Pastor Kevin continues to trace Paul's outline of Christianity in the book of Romans by breaking down the meaning of this word.

This is the first sermon in a series on Romans called "Reciting Romans" preached in August 2026. Through the six weeks of this series, we will walk through the main sections of Paul's theological logic throughout the letter. We will focus on a key word and a memory verse in order that we can learn these words by heart. In this sermon, we begin by looking at the root of the Gospel in Romans 1:16-17.

The Bible uses a great deal of military terms throughout its text. This may be obvious - since much of the Bible records the history of the Israelites: their struggles, wars, and geopolitical reality as a nation.

But...what do the old wars of Israel or their military structures (citadels, towers, and the like) have to do with us? How do understand the wars of the Old Testament or the military language found even in the Psalms - in connection to us? Does it have anything to do with us?
