On October 8, 2017, the body of 15 day old Caliyah McNabb was found wrapped in a blanket, stuffed in a drawstring bag and wedged under a log mere feet from the trailer park where her family lived. Acting on a 911 called placed the day before, the sheriff's office discovered the small body after Caliyah's mother, Courtney Bell, woke up from a nap and was told by her 2 year old daughter that Caliyah was missing. Baby Caliyah's father, Christopher McNabb, was not at home when officials arrived, but was later apprehended at a local gas station while "searching for his daughter". Autopsy reports showed that 15 day old Caliyah had been killed by blunt force trauma to her head. How did this 15 day old baby's short life end so violently?
