  • Natalie Hall – New York Marathon 2025
    2026/04/17

Natalie came back to tell us all about her NYC Marathon, and WHAT an experience she had.

She was also picked as one of the New York City Marathon “Team Inspire 2025!” - a group of 26 athletes (one for each mile) with the most compelling stories. The team embodies the spirit, heart, and energy of New York City, with each athlete profoundly embodied by the transformative power of running.

Natalie ran for the Royal Marsden & Fireflies Fitness, raising awareness of the vital benefits of moving through cancer.

As always, Natalie was inspirational, entertaining and lots of fun to speak to – enjoy!

  • Taper or Tempo? - Episode 71
    2026/04/10

This week, we're right in the thick of spring marathon season - chatting Boston, London, comeback niggles, taper nerves and the chaos of trying to work out what race pace actually means when training’s been less than textbook.

There’s plenty of chat on long runs, track sessions, the weather, marathon maths and the eternal debate over whether to send it or just survive it.

We also get into triathlon plans, dodgy runfluencer behaviour and why chasing clout in endurance sport is never quite as impressive as people think.

All-in-all, a classic episode: a bit of training chat, a bit of nonsense and a lot of overthinking!

  • Water You On About!? - Episode 70
    2026/04/08

Easter weekend chaos - chocolate, carbs, and cheers,

Late nights in the pub means slightly foggy gears

Marathon season is creeping up fast,

“Am I ready for this?” - a question we always ask

Emails in junk, causing a little stress,

Boston looks hilly, Richmond? No less

Some chasing sub-3, some just 1K,

Some calling it “training” after one run a day.

There’s no perfect plan - just vibes and a guess,

A sprinkle of hope that we have some kinda fitness

From comeback jogs to long runs that sting,

We’re all just pretending we know everything

So show up, run slow (or maybe too quick),

Smile for the photos, lean into the chaos a bit

If it goes wrong - well, that’s part of the fun,

Because somehow, some way… it’ll still get done.

  • Let Your Hair Down – Episode 68
    2026/03/25

Balance is key – not balancing 12 pints of Guinness and being a functioning human the next day, nor not letting your hair down from time to time.

This episode is a good balance of running, yapping and questioning – enjoy!

  • Episode 67 – Hot Cross Rollercoasters
    2026/03/20

    RUNNING, BUT MAKE IT CHAOTIC.

Episode 67 is what happens when marathon prep meets breakfast discourse, training doubt, comeback legs and a very real debate over whether 18 miles deserves 26.2-mile glory.

Hot cross buns are under review.

Rice Krispies are apparently performance fuel.

    Hampton Court is looming.

    Boston is in the chat.

And nobody, for one second, is pretending marathon training is linear.

This one’s about the swings: the sessions that bring you back to life, the setbacks you can’t control and the strange comfort of knowing every runner is winging it at least a little bit.
