Andrew Baird Patchworks a Scottish folk musician shares his journey from singing in the shower to performing at Dundee's Bank Bar, where he discovered a vibrant and close-knit music community. Through exploring musical influences like Brian Ferry and Mississippi John Hurt, he has developed a distinctive style blending traditional folk elements with character-driven storytelling.

• Started performing solo about eight years ago at the Bank Bar in Dundee
• Draws inspiration from artists with distinctive vocal styles including Brian Ferry, David Bowie, and blues singers
• Creates character-driven songs like "Drugstore Blues" that blend emotion with everyday situations
• Currently working on a grant-funded project called "Red and Gold" exploring seasonal themes
• Planning a collaborative album featuring various musicians from Dundee's music scene
• Describes Dundee's music community as feeling like "a little village" where everyone knows each other
• Participates in a monthly "gaslight cafe" gathering where musicians share and workshop new material
