• Preface
    2026/07/17

Beloved readers, As I place this book in your hands, I harbor one earnest hope. It is the hope that everyone who reads this book will lay down the burden of sin remaining in their hearts and surrender before the truth of salvation that God has already perfectly accomplished through Jesus Christ. Today, numerous people confess that they believe in Jesus, yet in their hearts they cannot shake off the questions, “Am I truly saved? Why do I still feel like a sinner?” I know well how deep that agony is. And I also know where the root of that agony lies. It is precisely because they know only half of the gospel.

  • Ch06_01_Biblical Exposition_Faith That Accompanies Jesus Christ After Being Saved from Sin
    2026/07/17

The Apostle Paul has explained the righteousness of God from Romans chapter 1 to chapter 5. And entering chapter 6, he mentions the “baptism” that Jesus received from John. There is a clear reason for this. When he proclaimed at the end of chapter 5, “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more” (Romans 5:20), some people misunderstood, saying, “If so, doesn’t the grace of God become more abundant the more a person commits sin?” The Apostle Paul sternly refutes such misunderstanding at the very beginning of chapter 6. “Certainly not.” The core here is the expression “we who died to sin.” The Apostle Paul declares toward the people who are in Christ, “You are those who died to your sins.” This is not a word to arouse moral determination or exertion of will. It was to make them believe the ministry of salvation that has already occurred in Jesus Christ.

  • Ch06_02_Sermon_The Life of Those Who Have Gained New Life (Romans 6:1-11)
    2026/07/17

Everyone, today we are going to think about how those who have gained new life should live, through the words of Romans 6:1 to 11. In Romans 5, the Apostle Paul testified to the fact that we have been justified by faith through Jesus Christ. He said that although through one man, Adam, all people became sinners, through the obedience of one man, Jesus Christ, many became righteous.

  • Ch06_03_Sermon_Faith and Life United with Christ (Romans 6:1-23)
    2026/07/17

Everyone, Romans 6, which we read together today, speaks about how those who believed in the gospel of the water and the Spirit and received the removal of sins should live now. The Apostle Paul is not just giving a moral exhortation here to “live a good life.” Nor is he giving a legalistic command to “try not to commit sin.” The Apostle Paul is first stating who we are united with.

  • Ch06_04_Sermon_We Must Live for Righteous Work (Romans 6:1-23)
    2026/07/17

Everyone, today we are going to think together about how a born-again person should think and how they should live through the words of Romans chapter 6. If we say we have received the removal of sin by believing in Jesus’ water, blood, and Holy Spirit, now we must not simply remain in the fact that “I am saved.” For a saved person, there are thoughts of faith they must have like a saved person, and a direction of life they must live.

  • Ch06_05_Sermon_Do You Not Know That We Wer e Baptized Into His Death? (Romans 6:1-23)
    2026/07/17

Everyone, today through the words of Romans chapter 6, we must deeply consider once again what faith believing in Jesus is, and what meaning Jesus’ baptism has for us. The Apostle Paul spoke in Romans chapter 5 that through one man, Adam, sin entered the world, and through that sin, all people came to reach death. However, he said that through the obedience of another man, that is, Jesus Christ, many people became righteous. It means that although all people became sinners in Adam, those who believe in Christ Jesus became righteous.

  • Ch06_06_Questions and Answers on Romans Chapter 6
    2026/07/17

The baptism in Romans 6 is not a simple external ritual. This baptism points to the faith by which a person unites in their heart with the Lord’s baptism, death, and resurrection. Looking at its true meaning from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, it represents the truth showing that Jesus had the sins of the world transferred to Him through the baptism He received from John, was crucified, and resurrected from death to become our Savior.

  • Ch07_01_Biblical Exposition_Live the Life of Faith by Faith in the Righteousness of God
    2026/07/17

Romans 7 is one of the paragraphs where the Apostle Paul deeply explains the relationship between the law, sin, and Christ. The text teaches how the old man, who was bound to the law, was put to death through the body of Christ. It also shows the way for the saints to newly unite with the resurrected Christ and serve in the newness of the Spirit. At the same time, while honestly diagnosing the conflict between the mind and the flesh that occurs daily even in the saints who have received the removal of sins, it clearly reveals that the One who delivers us from the body of death is only our Lord Jesus Christ. From the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, this chapter is a spiritual diagnosis and prescription that shows the holiness of the law, the limits of man, and the work Christ accomplished once and for all in a single flow.
