Aladdin Alwisy, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the Rinker School of Construction Management and the director of the Smart Industrialized Design and Construction (IDC) lab at the University of Florida. Dr. Alwaisy’s research interests lie in developing and assessing practices for the future of intelligent industrialized construction, such as robotics, sensing technologies, machine learning, augmented/virtual/mixed reality, simulation, and lean manufacturing to reduce the expense of the design, manufacturing process, and system control.
