Right on Rangers is where Rangers fans ride the season in real time.

The LIVE shows are the heartbeat. Big wins, ugly losses, bullpen chaos, breakout heaters, trade rumors, roster debates, and the takes that come with actually caring about this team.

Sometimes those takes get hot. That’s part of watching 162 with people who are invested. But the reaction still has receipts. We use stats, film, history, roster context, and what’s happening on the field to figure out what the game actually revealed.

Between LIVE shows, we go deeper on the players, decisions, stories, and moments shaping Texas baseball.

Rangers first, always. When the calendar turns, the Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks, and the biggest Texas sports stories get their run too.

If you want sterile box-score recaps, this probably isn’t your show. If you want passionate Rangers talk with actual baseball underneath it, welcome in.

  • The Rangers' $170 Million Roster Needs More Versatility
    2026/10/30

Texas enters the offseason with around $170 million in projected player payroll, and Chris Young still has some uncomfortable roster decisions to make.

Austin argues that Ezequiel Duran should play every day without being tied to second base and questions how Joc Pederson fits a younger, more athletic Rangers club. He weighs re-signing Cal Quantrill, past spending misses, Corey Seager and Jacob deGrom's no-trade clauses, Jacob Latz's bullpen role, Jack Leiter's recovery, Sebastian Walcott's development, and a hypothetical deGrom trade. The recorded LIVE also gets into the Brewers–Rays World Series and postseason player bonuses before closing with Jake Burger's Philanthropist of the Year honor.

Recorded as Game 5 approached and began; Milwaukee later won to clinch the World Series.

Corrections: The postseason players' pool draws from the first two games of each Wild Card Series, the first three of each Division Series, and the first four of each League Championship Series and the World Series. Additional games do not increase that pool, and teams award full and partial shares rather than dividing bonuses evenly. Jacob deGrom's 2027 salary is $37 million; his conditional 2028 option starts at $20 million but can rise. Tyler Mahle made 19 Rangers starts across 2024–25. Flipping two Texas losses to wins would have produced an 82–80 record, ahead of Houston's 81–81 finish. Milwaukee's eight-run inning in World Series Game 3 was the fifth; Tampa Bay's Game 4 comeback was in the 12th.

  • Cowboys Finally Trust the Run, Beat the Eagles
    2026/10/27

Dallas ran the ball 38 times in Philadelphia. Javonte Williams rushed for 155 yards, Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes, and the Cowboys beat the Eagles 38–21.

The LIVE begins before the final whistle, with DeMarvion Overshown's interception and Javonte's late touchdown. From there, the discussion turns to Brian Schottenheimer's play-calling, the offensive line, Dallas's front-office decisions at running back, and how much credit the defense deserves for finishing strong. Dak's value, possible edge-rusher trades involving Josh Sweat or Maxx Crosby, and a Cooper Flagg/Mavericks detour also come up before the Arizona preview.

Corrections: Dallas rushed for 204 yards, not 212. Prescott attempted 54 passes against Green Bay, not 55.

  • Texas Beats Ole Miss, Still Needs Four Good Quarters
    2026/10/27

Texas survived Ole Miss 34–27 after letting a 21-point lead disappear, and Austin was live for the wild fourth-quarter finish. Raleek Brown and Michael Terry III rescued the offense down the stretch, but Arch Manning's three turnovers raise bigger questions about his execution and Steve Sarkisian's development of the quarterback.

Austin digs into another scoreless third quarter, a shaky special-teams performance, and 14 penalties that nearly cost Texas a top-10 victory. He also considers whether the Longhorns can still run the table and what Mississippi State brings next.

Correction: Ole Miss converted a second-quarter fake punt but did not score on that possession. Rasheem Biles intercepted Trinidad Chambliss on fourth-and-goal before halftime.
