Right Up My Podcast is the podcast for those looking to explore different methods of self-care, self-love and ways to make you feel good.

Hosted by voice artist and presenter Gwen Watson and journalist and producer Kate White, Right Up My Podcast came from a mutual drive to find new ways to improve our own mental health.

Each episode we chat to a different expert about their feel-good forte, and then try it out for ourselves to see if it works... or if it doesn't.

It's frank, funny and honest, with the odd bit of over-sharing. So join us on Right Up My Podcast, because you deserve to feel good too!

Released fortnightly. Contains bad language and inappropriate laughter.
Music – Andrew Grimes. Artwork – Erica Frances George.

  • The RUMPette 54 - Send in the muscle!
    2026/09/18

Gwen and Kate go from the AI apocalypse and fear of global annihilation, to remembering that the simple life is what brings us joy.

Gwen shares the pleasures of solo camping. No screens, no music... and by the end of the trip not even any lights. But the joys of being present and solo FELT GOOD. Doing what you want, when you want and not having to take anyone else's needs into consideration. Heaven!

Kate tells us about an inspiring book launch that she went to, for the latest release by journalist Anthea Lawson, called 'How not to save the world'. In Anthea's own words, the book is for "long-standing activists and new ones, and all of the people who are worried about the state of the world and wondering where to start. It explores ways to work together for what matters, without alienating the people we need to convince".

If this sounds right up your street, then you can find out more here: How Not To Save The World.

  • RUMP Rewind – Ep.3 Ep.2 - ASMR: Feeling Sound | Giulia Poerio
    2026/09/10

Old fave, new intro! We take a deep-dive into the fascinating world of ASMR. What is ASMR? Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is the experience of 'feeling sound' or having a physical response to audio and is used by a growing number of people to help with anxiety, insomnia, relaxation and even pain relief.

As well as exploring the very different sides to ASMR ourselves, we also have a fascinating chat with Psychologist Giulia Poerio about the science behind the phenomenon.

We recommend you listen to this episode using headphones to get the full ASMR effect from the clips we play.

Thanks to the following ASMR artists... and Lewis Capaldi:

ASMR The Chew ( AKA Pickle lady)
Lily the ASMR Kitty: @lilyandlunz (Insta)
    ASMR Zeitgeist
    Lewis Capaldi
