Welcome to another episode of Retrotopia: Another Video Game Podcast. This is a show where we, Alan, Brian, and Sam, get together to discuss video games from years gone by. We like to look at video games from the perspective of lifelong gamers and how they hold up in the retro sphere.

This week, we are discussing Resident Evil, a PlayStation and Sega Saturn game released in 1996 that pioneered the survival horror genre with its fixed camera angles, eerie pre-rendered environments, limited resources, and a story centred around a deadly bio-weapon outbreak in the infamous Spencer Mansion. Players must solve puzzles, manage scarce ammunition, and survive against zombies and mutated creatures while uncovering the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation.
