  • It Can’t Rain All the Time – Brandon Lee and The Crow (1994)
    2025/08/14

Based on the graphic novel by James O’Barr, The Crow follows Eric Draven, a rock musician who is brutally murdered alongside his fiancée, Shelly, by a gang of thugs on Devil’s Night—October 30th.

One year later, Eric rises from the grave, guided by a mystical crow, to avenge their deaths. Dressed in black and painted like a gothic mime, he hunts down each killer one by one in a stylish, surreal, and emotionally charged journey through vengeance and redemption.

It’s a revenge film, yes—but also a love story. A tragedy soaked in shadows, fire, and haunting beauty.

  • It’s Good to Be the King – A Look at Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)
    2025/07/31

If you've ever seen Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner… imagine that, but now imagine it directed by Mel Brooks, with every serious moment turned into a joke—and you’ve got Men in Tights.

Released in 1993, the film follows Robin of Locksley, a nobleman who returns home from the Crusades to find his land taken by the villainous Prince John and his right-hand thug Sheriff of Rottingham. He assembles a band of misfit Merry Men—including Little John, Will Scarlet O'Hara, and Ahchoo—to take down the corrupt monarchy, win back his land, and save Maid Marian, whose chastity belt is under lock and key... literally.

    It’s a musical, it’s a parody, it’s full of slapstick and sarcasm—and it’s pure Mel Brooks.

  • Hack the Planet – A Deep Dive into Hackers (1995)
    2025/07/17

Hackers hit theaters in September 1995, directed by Iain Softley, with a screenplay by Rafael Moreu. The story centers around a group of teenage hackers who uncover a high-level corporate conspiracy and must use their skills to take down a villainous computer security officer.

The movie is essentially the Matrix before the Matrix... minus the leather trench coats and bullet time.

The plot follows Dade Murphy, aka “Zero Cool,” a legendary hacker who, at the age of 11, crashed 1,507 computer systems and got banned from computers until his 18th birthday. Now a high school senior, he falls in with a crew of underground hackers—including Acid Burn, Cereal Killer, Phantom Phreak, and Lord Nikon—and they get wrapped up in a digital frame job that threatens them all.

And yes, there’s a lot of rollerblading and techno rave music along the way.
