Long before the Miami Vice and Art Deco craze an artistic powerhouse duo named Christi and Jeanne-Claude descended on 11 islands in Biscayne Bay and made history.

For two weeks, their unique vision regarding the relationship between Floridians and Biscayne Bay captured the hearts and minds of people world-wide, making history and controversy.

Love 'em or hate 'em, if you lived here at the time, everyone remembers the Surrounded Islands.
